SPEAKING AIDS- SP3 Poland
First group of students from Primary School no. 3 in Dąbrowa Górnicza designed StoryTelling Cubes in Tinkercad programme. This was the first time when the students designed something in Tinkercad. Their projects were then prepared for 3d printer, printed and sent to Italian School- Liceo Attilio Bertolucci (Teacher Annalisa Martini).
The main idea of the cubes is to throw them and create a story from the pictures thrown. It practices speaking, creativity and imagination.

Using 3d printer;)

Our school got the 3d printer from the "Laboratories of the Future" initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and the GovTech Center.
The second group of students created a game called "Shazam!", for which, we need a wooden sticks. On the sticks there are topic for discussion, students may play individually or in groups. They pull from the bag a wooden stick, answer the question and get the points.
But! Beware of the sticks with "Shazam!" written on them, because those take 2 points from the group or a student. The person with the most points and the least "shazam" wins.

Grammar aids
1) Present Simple and Present Continuous rules.
Game description: The player draws a card which
is read aloud by the opponent. If the player
complets the task, he/she rolls the dice. If he/she
doesn't complete the task, he/she doesn't roll
the dice and stays in the same place. The winner is the person who comes to the finish first.

2) First come, first served
(the game revising the topics of
Past Simple and Past Continuous).
To start, you choose the colour of your
pawn and roll the dice. You move as many
spaces as you see on the dice. If you stand on the space marked with a star, you choose a card and you have only 20 seconds to answer. The same goes for the heart card. If you answer the question wrong, you move back two spaces. But there is also a red space: if you step on it, you move back three places.
*The question is read by the opponent.

2) The students also like this game. They were surprise that they only have 20 seconds to anwer a question but they managed to finish the game successfully. They played in small groups.

Vocabulary aids SP 26
1) English Monopoly
Game description: Every player starts from "Start" space and gets Ł15 for start. To win you need to buy the most places. On every field you enter, you can buy a building related to England. This allows you to be rich, but there are also special fields such as the fields of opportunity (mytery/great chance) where you have to draw a card and answer the question. If your answer is right, you get Ł1, if it's wrong, you give Ł1 back. Remember! Every time you pass the start space, you get Ł2.
2) Memory
Game description: Select two cards and read the words on them. If these are the same words, take them to yourself. If they are different, put them back in the same place. One pair, one point.

Material used: corks, paper, markers, glue, sticky notes, crayons, foil.
We really enjoyed playing Monopoly game and Memory. The games were beautifully designed (especially Monopoly) and very detailed. The students had the opportunity to practice vocabulary connected with animals, family members and etc. in the memory game. The Monopoly game was fun and we practiced and learned not only general vocabulary, but also a little bit about entrepreneurship. After playing, the students filled DIY teaching aid evaluation cards. They rated it 4/5 stars (in the scale 1-5). They liked the Monopoly game the most, because it contained paper money, lovely pawns, drawings and it was colorful. They also liked the Memory game, however they said that it was sometimes difficult to read the words. We'll adapt the game to different vocabulary content and play it to learn different words;) Thank you SP 26 for your games and ideas, we had lovely time, we hope that you'll have fun with our games too;)

Taboo
Game description: First you need to partner up. Then one couple draws a card and expains the chosen word without using the words written on the card (marked as forbidden words). At the top of each card there is a category of the word. The couple who guesses the word, gets one point. The whole game lasts five rounds. The couple who receives the biggest number of points, wins.

EVALUATION FROM CROATIA
Students liked both Tabboo and English Twister even more. Students from Croatia had a lot of fun playing the English Twister game. The game is fun, exciting, motivating and useful for speaking practice. The students took turns to compete in pairs and enjoyed trying to remain still on the board. It was really fun! :) The question cards are a fun way to add speaking practice to a popular game.
Thank you to the hard-working students from Poland for all the effort that you put into making this game!
Best regards from Croatia!
