Hi, my name is Alexander Graham Bell. A long time
ago I invented the telephone.

After I invented the telephone no one wanted to
buy it. That is called supply and demand.

Supply and demand is when I have a large or low
amount of things and the people decided if they want
to buy.

Then I got help from a man named JP Morgan. He is
called and investor. An investor is a person who gives
money to people to start a business.

He took a risk and gave me money to start my own
business. This is called an investment.

An investment is when a person gives you
money or time to start a business or to buy
something.

The telephone let people communicate from
anywhere. Other inventors like Henry Ford also
helped innovate cars for transportation. Innovate
means to make something better with a new idea.

And Thomas Edison created the light bulb so
people could have light where they needed it.

People soon grew interested in my telephone
and my business started to grow. It grew into a
big company called AT&T.

I ran my company all on my own and I made a
lot of money. This called Capitalism.

Capitalism is when businesses are run by the
people and not the government.

In the end, JP Morgan took a big risk in me and
got a big reward. My company grew into one of
the top stores to sell phones.

And today people use phones at home, work, or
even a cell phone for on the go.
