This is Elizabeth.
Elizabeth loves being a mermaid.

She loves to swim with the fishes and make friends with the sharks.

"I love everything about the ocean! I love being a mermaid!"

One of Elizabeth's favorite pastimes is swimming around and exploring the ocean.

On one of her daily swims, Elizabeth saw something she had never seen before.

"AAAHHH! What is that?"

"It's so big! It's so strange! It's so scary!" Elizabeth exclaimed.

Elizabeth swam as fast as she could to go tell her friends about what she saw. She was so terrified! Maybe they knew what it was that she had seen.

"You guys will not believe what I just saw! I am so scared."

"What? What did you see!" All of her friends asked at once.

"Come with me!"

Elizabeth swam towards the anchor as her friends followed her frantically.

"Look, there it is!"

One of Elizabeth's friends, Sam the Shark went up to the anchor to examine it.
"You guys! It's just an anchor," Sam declared.

Everyone sighed a sigh of relief, except Elizabeth. Elizabeth was still frightened, but now she was also curious. How did all of her friends know what an anchor was but her?

"Hold on, what is an anchor?" Elizabeth asked. "Is it dangerous?"

"An anchor is a heavy object boats but into the water so they can stay in place. They're not dangerous at all! Even though they do look a little spooky." Sam explained.

"Oh wow! Anchors aren't scary at all. I was freaking out for no reason," Elizabeth realizes.

"Yeah," Sam agrees, "It's really easy to judge things by the way they look before actually knowing anything about it."

"Next time I probably shouldn't judge unfamiliar objects so quickly, that could be hurtful," Elizabeth says.
After learning the valuable lesson that you shouldn't judge things before you know what it is and also learning what an anchor is, Elizabeth and her friends start swimming back home so they can go to sleep and get a good nights rest.
