Children’s Story Writer

Earn $500 per story writing modern versions of famous fairy tales

 

Do you like to write children’s stories? We’re looking to commission modern rewrites of the following famous children’s stories:

The stories will be featured on the StoryJumper platform which allows anyone to easily create, personalize, share and print children’s stories. We’re offering $500 per story. The stories should all be between 15-20 pages of text (30-40 pages with illustrations) and approximately 1100-1500 words. The final story must be submitted through the StoryJumper web site. The author will need to sign a contract that assigns the full copyrights to StoryJumper.

We will contact you within a week to setup a contract with you to complete your story if your submission is selected.

To be considered, please submit the first three pages of your story as follows:

  1. Click here to bring up our editor
  2. Create the first three pages of your story.
     
  3. Click save. This will bring up a screen for you to create an account.
     
  4. After you have created your account, you will be back in the story editor. Click done, then . This will bring up a window for you to enter the title and select that you want to share the story. This is how you sumbit the story. Be sure the story can be seen by Friends and Family
     
  5. Click done in the pop-up window and this will bring up a window to share the story. In the Sharing window, enter submissions@storyjumper.com which will complete the submission process. Please also include your contact information in the personal message.
     
  6. If you accidentally leave or close the editor, you can find your work by clicking the "my" at the top of the page. Once you are back on your story page, you can share it by clicking on the share button on the lower right side of the page.
