Cola is a guy who lives in Sicily and loves the sea. When his mom calls him to come home, he doesn't come right back.

One day she said ,"May you become a fish !" And so it is , he becomes half fish chiald and half fish with webbed hand webbed feet , throot like a frog and breathes underwater. So, Cola never returned to earth. 

The mother , instead of despair , takes some time for herself and takes a nice trip to Spain because she knows that Colapesce has a lot of fun underwater. She learns to dance flamenco and wears red and black ruffled dresses and drinks Pina Colada on the beach. 

At a certain point, however, she begins to miss her little son and, with that thought, when she touches the sea water with the tip of her foot while at tear runs down her face, she turns into a mermaid. After a long swim she reaches the sea of Sicily and finds her little son and hugs  him with love. 

Meanwhile,the king who Knows Colapesce's abilited,asKs him to see what is under the sea. Colapesce discovers wonderful creatures and mysteries underwater and communicates everything he has seen to the King. 

The King, meanwhile, wants Colapesce to go and see what is under the island's Lighthouse in the depts,but Colapesce is unable to get close because he encautes a clumn of snoke that hides his  is view and in the meantime he sees a whale so large that is swallows a ship and the ship manages to really see it when the whale opened its mouth, it had swallowed a whole ship!!

Colapesce hidey from fear and when the whale goes away he rises to the surface.

The king angry at not having heard any think trips to convince Colapesce by throwing his crown into the sea.

In reality, the father has surrived and is on the island of Sardinia and when on the other sidene listens to the is him son and sets sail with a new ship to Sicily. He  asks the King listens to his story, he decides to go together saying that he wants to help him look for the boy, but in reality he only wants his crown that he had trown away over board.

From that moment on hower, Colapesce has never returned to the surface until he hears his Father's voice calling desperately: "Colapesceeee". The boy emergs from the water and holds out his hand to his father who, while a tear runs down his face, touches the water and turns into a merman.

The king, meanwhile, orders Colapesce to the crown to him. While, trying to catch it, the king leans out too much and fails into the water. Man turns into a shirmp and the giant whale that passed by took a tite out  of it.

Colapesce's family meanwhile, reunties and lives happly ever after.
