* 6-year-old - pre-school education

* Students are 7 when they start school.
* They are 6 when they start compulsory education
* The education is obligatory until 18 years old.

* In Poland students usually study English, German, French or Spanish. In Koszęcin they study English and German.





The amount of classes at school depends on the age of students:
* 7 - 9 year-olds have 22 classes per week
* 10 - 12 year-olds have 25 classes per week
* 13 -15 year-olds have 32 classes per week
* classes start at 07:55 in the morning and finish at 03: 05
( but it depends how many classes students have during the day, they can start later or finish earlier)
There is a canteen so you can have lunch there, but some students bring their packed lunch .

We start going to school at the age of 5 or 6 years old.


The Portuguese education system is divided into four sequential levels. It begins with Pre-school Education, an optional cycle for children from 3 to 6 year-olds. Basic Education comes next, comprising 3 sequential cycles:
- Upper Secondary Education is a 3 year cycle for 15 to 18 year-old

Yes, they are able, at the 7th grade.

We usually study 2 languages: Portuguese and English. However, when we reach 7th grade, we have to choose another language to study and our options are Spanish, French and German.





Lessons start at 8:25 am.
Students usually have lunch in the school canteen.

Vacarisses

Vacarisses is a village in the province of Barcelona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. The municipality covers an area of 40.44 square kilometres and the population in 2018 was 6,486.



In Spain, Children usually start school when they are 3 years old. Compulsory education starts at the age of 6 and finishes at the age of 16. Students start studying English at the age of 3.


At Institut Vacarisses, students study Spanish and Catalan as mother tongues. Students can also study foreign languages. English and French are the two options at Institut Vacarisses.


Students spend about 34 hours per week at school.
