San Silvestro Oasis

The San Silvestro Oasisis a 100 hectares Estate near Caserta, Italy. It was bought by Charles of Burbon (1715-1788) to use it for hunting, cultivation of vineyards and olive trees, breeding of sheeps and the production of cheese.

In this wonderful park you can follow the Natural Trail, passing through the garden of ferns, the area of tortoises, a pond, the butterfly garden.

Very interesting is also the Route of Bees, where you can learn about the bees organization, their life and the important function they play in nature.

In The San Silvestro Oasisyou can “live” the nature and feel it with your senses in an emotional way.

Botanical garden 

"Julia & Alexander Diomedes",

5th Primary School of Korydallos

It is the largest Botanical Garden in Greece and in the entire Eastern Mediterranean area.

The 186 hectares of the total garden area are located 3 km inland, at a distance of 14 km west of downtown Athens.

The garden is covered by spontaneous flora listing a total of over 500 plant species and includes the oldest natural pine forest in Attica.

More than 12.000 dried plant specimens are preserved at the Herbarium, most of them originating from areas protected by the «NATURA 2000» project, while seeds of more than 800 plant species are kept at the Seed Bank of the garden.
