Teacher (n):  Someone whose job is to teach, especially in a school. 

Mechanic (n): Someone who is skilled at repairing motor vehicles and machinery.

Saint George (n): Sant Jordi, on April 23rd, is a celebration in Catalonia. Books and roses are given away.

Christmas Eve - is the evening before Christmas, the Christian holiday to celebrate the birth of Jesus 

Christmas tree  - an evergreen tree, decorated with lights and ornaments as a part of Christmas festivities

Easter basket -  it is a small decorated basket. You can find inside eggs , ham or sausage, bread, salt, cake, horseradish, Easter lamb  made of sugar or bread.

Easter eggs - Adults at home and children at schools decorate hard-boiled eggs in shells: with paints, markers, crayons. During Easter season, you can find in Polish stores and even small delis paints and stickers dedicated to Easter egg decoration. 

                      CELEBRATIONS

Mărțișor: It is a Traditional Romanian celebration and it is celebrated on 1st March. Boys give mărțișoare to girls who wear them all the month. 

Children's Day: It is a national celebration and it is celebrated on 1st June. Children all around the country celebrate this day together with their families.

boarding pass (n): it's the passenger ticket for boarding a plane. They give you the boarding pass when you check-in.

volleyball (n): it consist in not touching the ground with the ball in your field. There is a tall net in the middle. Each team has 6 players on the field and 6 on the bench.

Passage (v): a slow, cadenced trot executed with great elevation of the feet and  characterized by a moment of suspension before the feet strike the ground.

Dribble (v): to advance a ball by bouncing it or giving it a series of short kicks  or pushes.

Relay races:  can be a sport team. There are 4 or more people in each team. You need 1 relay for each team to practice it. You can do this sport in running tracks.

Gymnastics:  is an individual sport.  It's an Olympic sport.

football (n): is a sport with 2 teams, 11 players each team. They score goals for winning the game.

Yoga:  is a sport that you do individually or in pairs.  It helps you to relax your body.

Karate: is an individual sport. You need a kimono and it is practised in a dojo.
