Our Earth has a very strong magnetic field because of its nickel and iron core. This strong magnetic field protects our planet from solar winds.

Our planet is the only one with atmosphere.

The atmosphere is a layer of air that surrounds the earth and extends for hundreds of kilometers in height. It protects us from harmful radiations coming from the Sun thanks to the ozone layer. It retains heat around the earth preventing the planet from cooling down. Also, the Sun light crossing the different layers of the atmosphere makes the sky blue during the day and pink at sunset.

Unfortunately, the large quantity of carbon dioxide produced by human activities is one of the causes of global warming because it affects the ozone layer.

While approximately 29% of the Earth's surface is land made up of continents and islands; The remaining 71%, which is covered with water, is called the hydrosphere, which is formed by oceans, lakes, streams and other fresh waters. Most of the polar regions of the planet are covered with ice. The Earth's interior consists of the still active inner core of solid iron at the center, the liquid outer core that forms the planet's magnetic field, and the mantle that causes the tectonic plates to move.
