Ο ήλιος έλουσε

με φως την τριανταφυλλιά

κι ανοίξανε αμέσως

τα μπουμπούκια.

Ήταν τόσο τέλεια

στολισμένη

σαν από ζωγράφο

όμορφα σχεδιασμένη.

Τα ρόδα

Τα πέταλα τους κόκκινα, 

σαν πανάκριβο κόσμημα.

Πορφυρά σαν το αίμα,

γι’ αυτό τα καμαρώνω όλη μέρα.

Το άρωμα τους σε μεθά

και θες να τα μυρίζεις ξανά και ξανά.

Όμως δεν πρέπει να παρασυρθείς,

γιατί μπορεί να τρυπηθείς!

I can’t wait

I can’t wait for the summer to come

and the school to stop.

To go to the beach

and have fun.

I want to go out with my friends

 but I also want to rest.

Η Ντισέντρα

Όταν ξυπνήσεις μπροστά σ’ ένα παράθυρο

και δεις ένα όμορφο, κομψό λουλούδι

μην τρομάξεις, αλλά μην το αγνοήσεις,

την καλοσύνη θα θέλει να του χαρίσεις.

Αυτό το υπέροχο, λοιπόν, λουλούδι

είναι η Ντισέντρα, η όμορφη καρδιά,

που θα σε εμπιστεύεται μόνο αν του δωρίσεις

αγάπη, φροντίδα και χαρά.

Τα πέταλά του απαλά και φωτεινά

ροζ, άσπρα ή λιλά

έχει μεγάλη γλύκα και ομορφιά,

που θα λατρέψεις με μια ματιά.

The key is love

Love is something real.

Love is something sensitive,

but it is also something

that constantly is changing.

You have to learn to love,

to believe in the impossible,

because you have to move on,

in places beautiful and incredible.

Life without love is a closed shell

with a small single window.

You couldn’t see the whole world

and you couldn’t learn to love.

So live every moment,

happy or sad,

with a friend or a parent

because love comes from the heart.

    Λόγια της Άνοιξης

Για το ρόδο θα σας πω,

που έχει άρωμα μεθυστικό.

Το λουλούδι αυτό αν πλησιάσεις,

Σαν το βλέπεις να ανθίζει,

η καρδιά σου θα γεμίζει.

Με χαρά θα το κοιτάς

και δάκρυα θα αποκτάς.

Όταν το πιάνεις και σε τσιμπάει,

στενάχωρα θα σου μιλάει.

Θα σου απλώνει τα κλαδιά του,

και θα σκορπά τη μυρωδιά του.

Όταν το λουλούδι θα κοιτάζεις,

θα' ναι σαν να το προστάζεις

Ένα ταξιδάκι για ένα λουλουδάκι

          Μέσα σ ’ένα λιβαδάκι
βλέπω ένα λουλουδάκι
που το λένε παπαρούνα

        Γεια σου, λέω, ομορφιά      και μου απαντά γλυκά 

       με κοιτάει και γελάει              κι αρχινά να τραγουδάει.

Γεια σου όμορφο κορίτσι
να, σε λίγο θα δροσίσει
για να φύγουμε από ’δω
  και να πάμε στον γιαλό.

  Δες τον όμορφο ουρανό

The animal’s world

All animals are good
but the best is the wolf.
I also like the fox,
 the horse and the dogs.

The wolf has voice,
the fox makes no noise,
the horse has beauty,

My best friend is Rodanthi
and she lives in my beautiful country.
I love her so much
because she makes me laugh.
Her hair is blonde
just like the sun.

Η παπαρούνα και τα κόλπα της

Η παπαρούνα είναι κόκκινη σαν την καρδιά μου 

που στη δίνω για να είσαι κοντά μου. 

Έχει κι έναν μαύρο σταυρό στη μέση 

για να σε προστατεύει να μην πέσεις. 

Αν πέσεις, μη φοβηθείς 

θα είμαι εγώ εκεί για να το περάσουμε μαζί.

Θα ανεβούμε ψηλά 

με μια μαγική μορφή της παπαρούνας, μαζί

και θα κάτσουμε εκεί για όλη μας τη ζωή. 

Θα νιώθουμε όμορφα, θα περνάμε καλά 

και θα κοιτάμε το ροζ ουρανό που καλύπτει τα ωραία φυτά. 

Ένα από αυτά θα είναι η παπαρούνα και θα λέει 

«Εδώ, μην με ξεχνάτε, πάρτε με μαζί σας την μαγεία σας». 

Θα περνάμε από τα στενά των μπλε βουνών. 

Θα παίρνουμε τους ωραίους τους κρυστάλλους 

και θα ακούμε την χαμηλή γαλήνια φωνή.

 Εκεί θα βρίσκεται η παπαρούνα για να μας βοηθεί.

A secret from my Mother

 Ι sat and watched TV 

but then I heard a noise next to a tree.

I went to see what it is and it was a baby pig. 

I loved it and I took it to play with it 

for a minute before my Mum saw me.

A dangerous fish

Let me tell you about a fish

which noone can imagine that exists.

Piranhas is its name

and its playing a dangerous game.

Its teeth are very sharp

and it can bite you like a shark.

In the Amazon it lives

with those huge trees.

You can eat it but be careful,

it may bite you in a second.

Except for it is a dangerous fish

it is, also, a delicious dish.

Αγκαθωτή ομορφιά

Μία μεγάλη αυλή γεμάτη άνθη

είχε έναν κάκτο όλο χάρη.

Τα αγκάθια του σαν τα ακουμπούσες πονούσαν,

μα τα λουλούδια του μοσχοβολούσαν.

Μακάρι να μπορούσα να τον έχω

στην αυλή μου να τον προσέχω.

Κάθε μέρα να τον ποτίζω

αλλά χωρίς να τον αγγίζω.

Αυτό το πράσινο, έντονο χρώμα

που έκανε αντίθεση με το χώμα!

Τον φαντάζομαι κάθε μέρα

να στέκει εκεί πέρα,

ανεξάρτητα από βροχές

ή από δυνατές αστραπές.

Αλλά αυτό θα μείνει σαν ένα  όνειρο,

παρόλο που είναι τόσο όμορφο.

Γιατί τα ωραία πράγματα τελειώνουν

αλλά στη φαντασία μας πάντα «σαρώνουν».

Τριαντάφυλλο

Τριαντάφυλλο μαγικό,

όλη μέρα γελαστό.

Μες τη ζέστη, μες το κρύο, 

θα είναι πάντα όμορφο.

Και αν ποτέ το ταράξεις,

έτσι για πλάκα το πειράξεις,

δε θα του  αρέσουν αυτές οι πράξεις

αλλά και πάλι θα σε κάνει να χαμογελάσεις.

Κόκκινα φύλλα το χειμώνα,

πιο δυνατά και από το χτύπο της καρδιάς,

δε θα κρατήσουν έναν αιώνα

αλλά θα σε διασκεδάσουν μετά χαράς.

Το ρόδο του νοτιά

Το χρώμα του κόκκινο σαν τη φωτιά,

και, το καλοκαίρι, καμαρωτά στέκονται τα αγκαθωτά του κλαδιά,

στον ήλιο και στη συννεφιά. Το κοιτάω με μάτια γαλανά

κι αυτό, απλώνοντας τα πέταλά του, μου ρίχνει τη ματιά του.

Και είναι μεγάλη η αφεντιά του.

Σε καλεί στο σπιτικό του και είναι το άρωμα δικό του.

Και με το ρόδινο χαμόγελό του

γλυκά σου τραγουδάει και είναι σαν να σου χαμογελάει.

Στον κήπο σου θα περπατάει και με το δροσερό αεράκι θα πετάει. Καθώς με τα γλυκόλογά του σου μιλάει,

τις ομορφιές του σου χαρίζει.

Και με χαρά γεμίζει.

Με γαλήνη θα το στολίζεις όταν το χώμα του ποτίζεις.

Μέχρι αυτό να ανθίσει και με χρώματα να πλημμυρίσει.

Και όταν τη νύχτα θα το αφήσεις και το αποχαιρετήσεις

προσεχτικά να το φροντίσεις και την αγάπη σου να του χαρίσεις.

LA SABANA

Today I've dreamt
I was playing at the sabana,
a giraffe I've climbed
to have lunch up on the branches.
