Once upon a time, there was a little disabled lion which moved with all his family to Savannah. “Wou!” He thought  “This is a huge area! I can feel the humid climate, and my feet are warming because of this dry and hot air. Also those tall trees are amazing”

The lion had beautiful orange and brown fur with a furry dark tail. He had big ears similar to the elephants´. His colors were even brighter matching the vivid colors of this subtropical area. 

Faced with him, it was the new lion´s  school, “ Oh! it is so different to the last one” he thought and as he was going to place his feet into the pedestrian crossing a herd of elephants went across their path. 

Lions:  Hey!! be careful!! Watch out! 

The family and the little lion had to wait until the elephants finished crossing so, because of that, they

 arrived late to their first day at school.

Mum looked at the little lion and could feel the fear in his eyes.

Mum:” Don´t worry my love, all is going to be ok”

Knock knock! 

“Come in” Said the teacher.

“Good morning madam”, Sorry for being late.

“Good morning,Sam, welcome to our school, please  take a seat and introduce yourself”

“ Hello, my name is Sam, I´m ten years old, I love reading comics and programming.

“…..and he loves running…oh no.. he can't…” said Mark, an alligator sitting at the back of the room.

 The teacher said him to shut up but he continued saying stupid things about the lion´s leg to their classmates.  The classmates placed their tables together in order not to facilitate Sam to get back to his place. The classmates started laughing and Sam felt bad and sad. The teacher didn't say anything and the class continued laughing.

The lion put up his hand and asked the teacher to go to the toilet and when he was there, he started to cry because nobody wanted to talk with him.

Later the alligator entered the toilet and listened to him crying. He started to laugh again and then he told everything to his classmates. The bell rang and all of them went to their houses. 

The Alligator arrived and entered his house.

Alligator’s mum: Hi dear, How was school?? 

Alligator: Really good, except for the fact that there is a new guy in the class which is disabled 

Alligator’s mum: and what is the problem with that?

Alligator: He is too strange. How are we going  to play with him?

Alligator´s mum: Just because he is disabled doesn't mean that he can´t be your friend or that you can´t play together. Just find out the way. Being different is not a bad thing. You should be happy of being different from his friends. We are all different you know. There are not two living things which are equals.

Alligator: puff, ok mum, what do we have to eat? I'm starving to death.

Sam went back to his house wondering about what he would say when his mom asked him about the day. It has been the same since he went to school the first time. 

Mom: Hello Sam, how was your day? 

Sam: Hello mum, I don't want to go back anymore.

Mom: Why do you say that?

Sam:It is always the same. I am different, nobody accepts me, nobody tries to meet me or to play with me.  

Mom: Don`t worry, I will speak with your teacher.

Sam: No mom please, that will make everything even worse.

Mom: Sam, you have to understand that those students need to be taught and need to know that this is not a nice way of behaving .               

 Sam: Please mum, do not say anything!! Forget it!!

Mum: No Sam, tomorrow morning I will phone the teacher. This needs to be solved.

The next morning, Sam went to school, he saw his timetable, and he found out that the teacher didn’t go to school that day. They had a free hour when his classmates usually played football. Sam didn't have one leg so he wasn’t able to play that sport. 

When they started to play football, Sam saw that he couldn’t play with the ball and he asked:

    -Lion (Sam): How can I play with you?

           -Turtle: I don’t know… playing???? hahaha!

           -Parrot: Who does not know how to play football? It's so easy to play if you have two legs. 

           -Alligator: Hmm…

The Alligator saw that the others didn’t want to play with him so he began to find a solution.

    -Sam:Why don't the others want to play with me? 

    -Alligator: Because you are different from the others and they think that it is difficult to play with you ….but it’s not like that. People are always afraid of things that're different. Let’s find a solution to play football all together .

Alligator and Sam started thinking about a solution to all play football, and their friends wanted to make sure Alligator talked with them and not with Sam. 

           -Turtle: Why are you talking with him. Are you also different?

           -Giraffe: Don´t waste your time talking with him, come with us, we are your real friends.

           -Alligator: Guys, stop. I am here because I want to, so do whatever you want to and leave me alone.

           -Parrot: We don´t care. Decide between him or us… But he is not important.

           -Alligator: The real friends would never ask me to choose. Now go away.

           –Sam: But..but..

           -Alligator: Don´t worry and Let´s continue searching how to play. Do you know what? I am also different, I do not know how to swim, and all the other alligators do.

-Alligator: Hey guys, what about playing a new game all together?

           -Giraffe: A new game? Why? 

           -Parrot: Yes why? I love playing football, it´s the sport I love the most.

           -Sam: Sometimes meeting new things enrich the day.

           - Alligator :Do you all like making things? There are some chairs to be placed into the bin and some wheels, I have thought about creating wheelchairs for all of us, and to enjoy playing  a new game all together while feeling the same situation.

Parrot: Are you joking? No way! He is the disabled, not me! 

Turtle: Are you joking? No way! Using wheelchair?

Giraffe: Well..why not? It might be interesting and funny. Telling you the truth, I am starting to feel bored of doing the same thing day after day. 

All the animals decided to create their own wheelchairs and to decorate them.

Meanwhile they were decorating the wheelchairs, they were deciding how to play their new game. 

Giraffe: What about mixing football and tennis?

Parrot: Yes, why not, It can be funny.

Turtle: Let´s paint a tennis court, Let's use the tennis net, Let´s place football goals on each side of the court and let´s place our tennis rackets. 

Giraffe:We could use a ball that bounces less than a normal one, so it will be easier for all of us. 

Parrrot: This is gonna be great!

Next morning all of them played together and they enjoyed it a lot. It was great seeing all of them acting as a whole team. 

Parrot:Sam, Do you know what? We were not good friends at the very beginning of your days with us.

Turtle/Giraffe: Yes, we are really sorry.

Sam: It´s ok, Thanks a lot for your apologizes.

It's time to go back home, at the main entrance of the school, we could see parents speaking with the teacher. 

The kids went running towards them and they said: 

-Guess what?? Being different is not so bad. We can learn a lot the ones from the others.

Sam: Mum, it's great to be here with all my friends at school.
