WHY IS TRUST IMPORTANT IN THE PRESCHOOL PERIOD?
-As preschool teachers and their families, we notice the feeling of uneasiness caused by the first separation from the family in children who start preschool education. Reducing the level of anxiety depends on the feeling of trust and the moderate approach between the teacher and the school.Anxiety, unlike fear, is a feeling of uneasiness that does not have a clear purpose. Anxiety serves as a defense mechanism for both adults and children. Like adults, children can sometimes feel anxious. Events experienced for the first time can be worrying for children. Being away from their parents and home for the first time, especially in the preschoolperiod, is an important source of anxiety for children. Although the anxiety created by these first experiences may have different effects on each child, it is usually a mild emotion that does not disrupt daily functioning. As the child adapts to the situation, event and place, it will be replaced by TRUST.
Any novelty that achild experiences in the outside world for the first time creates anxiety, but this is a normal part of development.-It is a fact that positive development of students' anxiety levels and self-confidence will also affect their school success.-Trust has various connotations in a social context. Definitions of trust typically refer to situations characterized by: one party (the trustor) is willing to trust the actions of the other party (the trustor); As a result, the trusting person is unsure of the outcome of the other's actions. This state of uncertainty involves the risk of harm or failure to the trustor if the trusted person does not behave as expected and anticipated. According to Abraham Maslow, trust is expressed as protection from external factors. It emphasizes the importance of success, self-confidence and trust in human relations. Children want to feel safe in every area.
