Classe 4D II CD DON SAVERIO VALERIO - Primary school- Gravina in Puglia Italy -Pupils aged 9 Teacher Rosalia Petrocelli.
The Etwinning "Tree of Rights" project involves all the classes of our school from the first to the fifth level. In my class it started from telling to children a fairy tale called "Same or Different?"whose main theme is "EQUALITY". Then we had a lot of conversations about the International Charter of Children Rights, each pupil created the logo because everyone wanted to express what they understood about Rights with freedom and creativity. Then pupils collected all their drawing in a small book called " The school of children rights". Moreover, on 21 of November in our school we are preparing a Big Rights Party, so all the children are learning different songs and dances for that occasion. On that day, we will plant a tree for children in the school garden, dedicated to children whose rights are still denied.

The kindergarten II CD DON SAVERIO VALERIO Gravina in Puglia Italy- Pupils aged 3-6 years old Teacher Felicetta Ferrante .We presented the story "The Island of the Forgetful" by Bianca Pitzorno as a stimulus to bring children closer to a first understanding of the meaning of the word "RIGHTS", through the presentation of concrete situations. After creating a welcoming setting, the teacher reads the story aloud, focusing on the images in such a way that each child asks questions and expresses his thoughts freely. The children were asked to tell what they see and to draw the situation that each one prefers. The students proposed to draw a large tree, which symbolizes life and represents the rights analysed.

The first step of our work was let the students listen to a song by Laura Pausini: " Il mondo che vorrei".
Then we had a brainstorming about the meaning of word "RIGHT". Each pupils said what that word meant for him/her and after seeing some videos about the international charter of children's rights, the discussion about the countries
envolved in the project and if nowadays all the children all over the world enjoy the rights, all the pupils designed several graphic representations for the logo competition for the Etwinning project.

Pupils aged 9 Teacher Celeste Lorusso
The products of classes 4A and 4B arise from the joyful creativity of enthusiastic studentsfor the topic. The approach to the issue of children's rights occurred through narratives, videos, reflections, role plays, civic education activities, comparisons followed by a positive awareness.Everyone felt himself protagonist and actor deserving of rules in their favor. The final works express happiness and poetry in trees animated, full of rights like fruit waving in the foliage now adorned with softly colored flowers, like the almond tree, now represented by more vividly colored flowers, now from a formidable supporting hand, now with branches like curly hair and the dreams of children around the world. Each work is accompanied by a universal circle of festive children and flags.

Pupils aged 9 Teachers Antonella Tragni - Anna Maria Dibenedetto
Talking with children about their rights initially seemed obvious, as they are already beneficiaries of those rights. At that point the idea to tell them a story told lightly, but which addresses a fundamental theme such as that of children's rights proposed by Unicef:"The Island of the Forgetful". The various logos that have resulted from the different students see the constant presence,or almost, of hands:they are the hands that children would like to reach out to to those who do not enjoy these rights or even worse lives a lonely life without his parents. The hands, therefore, represent a virtual caress to the most defenseless.

It is very important to know, understand and remember own rights. This is why we explained children's rights to pupils, through games,
nursery rhymes, graphic representations and riddles, considering their young age, with
particular attention to the "RIGHT TO NATIONALITY", because nowadays many children are denied it due to wars.
