One day, as usual, Marvin the mouse was
skateboarding to the hotdog stand after school. He
was thinking of trying the new kind of hotdog, when
suddenly...

GAAAAH!!!

ACK!!!

Marvin screamed, his skateboard flipped over and
whacked him in the face, then something splashed
everywhere. Then Marvin heard something crash,
then it suddenly smelled like strawberries. He heard
something fall over, with a loud "BANG", then a
voice shouted, but it sounded quite familiar. Then
his helmet slipped over his eyes. He adjusted it
and...

It was his friend, Rachel the kangaroo. It seemed
she had been carrying a strawberry smoothie while
walking her bike. It seemed that when Marvin was
daydreaming about hot dogs, he had lost control of
the skateboard and bumped into her. "Terribly sorry
Rachel." muttered Marvin while he wiped off the
stains from the grooves on the skateboard. "That's
okay. But where were you going anyway? I've just
been heading to the clubhouse." replied Rachel as
she helped clean up. She then picked up the pieces
of the shattered glass in a scarf. "Well...I was on my
way to the hot dog stand. But why the clubhouse?"
"Lisa and George say there's another mystery." said
Rachel as she deposited the pieces in a nearby
trashcan while parking her bike against a wall.

Rachel sat on her bike and explained while Marvin
removed halves of strawberries wedged between his
skateboard's wheels. When Marvin was finished,
Rachel asked if he could meet her and the rest of the
gang at the clubhouse for a discussion. He said yes,
and Rachel zoomed away on her bike in the direction
of the clubhouse. 5 minutes later, Marvin finally
removed the last slices. Then he got on and
skateboarded away.

Marvin finally gave up the thought of getting a hot
dog, and decided to just focus on getting to the
clubhouse. He arrived a few minutes later. Soon, the
meeting began. "You all know that new store?" asked
Shirley the opossum. "Yeah what about it?"
answered Xavier the bat. "Well..." began Shirley.
"We think it's trying to drive the fruit shop out of
business." continued Lucas the tiger. "Yeah that."
said Shirley, a bit annoyed at Lucas interrupting her.
"But why?" asked Primrose the goose. "That we don't
know." said George the beaver. "And, we think that
dumb PB shop is trying to bribe the fruit shop." said
Lisa the sparrow. "Well, all we know is that, for some
reason, the owner of Nutty PB is against the owner
of the fruit shop." continued Lisa.

"Well, I have a plan." said Monica the parrot. "First,
we investigate both shops. Then, we search for
clues." continued Monica. "The first group consists of
Rachel, William, Lucas and Paul. Then the second
group will be small animals, since they can fit
through tight spots. Shirley, Marvin,George and
April, you are in Group B. Now, for the last group,
me, Primrose, Lisa and Xavier will search the sky."
"Good idea." said William the wildebeest. "Okay
then, we'll go with that plan. Let's go!" said Shirley.
Then the gang set off to the fruit shop.

As Primrose and George pushed and pulled the lever
of their handcar, they asked about the mystery.
"What kind of *huff* clues do we *huff* have to
find?" asked Primrose. "Well, they usually end up on
*squeak* objects that we need to *squeak* find.
The objects are *squeak* anonymous, and we still
don't know what we're *squeak* looking for. Marvin,
are you doing that?" said Shirley. "No. But maybe
your cart is doing that." answered Marvin. "Well that
means those wheels need to be oiled. I haven't been
oiling them for awhile." said William. "A push
please." said Monica while the paper airplane she
was riding on started to go down. "Right on." said
Lucas, and signaled Paul the goat, who was sitting in
the back, to fan some smoke from the exhaust in
the direction of the descending plane.

"Whee!" shouted Monica as her paper airplane flew
up. A portion of her paper airplane was covered in
smoke, so she swished her tail feathers. The smoke
began disappearing, when she spotted the fruit shop.
"Hey guys, I see the fruit shop, we're almost there."
said Monica. "And I see a strange object next to it,
but I don't know what it is. I can't see all the details
and stuff. It looks like a brown dot from here."
continued Monica. Just then, they arrived. Also
Monica's paper airplane caught a sudden drift
downwards. She spotted a wolf selling cushions, and
she aimed for one of then for a soft landing.

Cushions

She carefully steered to the cushion, making sure her
shadow was approaching the cushion at the right
speed, then finally landed atop a plump blue pillow.
While folding up her paper airplane, she told the wolf,
"Hello Mr.Wolf, sorry if I bothered you, but I was just
landing my paper airplane." The wolf replied, "I don't
mind it, don't mind at all. The name's Aaron." "Okay
then, goodbye." She then promptly folded up the last
corner and waved as she walked away.

Yesterday, the group had the owner of the fruit shop
leave the shop to them. He was going for his
vacation, but he didn't want any customers in the
fruit shop while he was away. That was the perfect
opportunity for them to investigate. So, back in the
present here they are arriving. It seemed the "brown
dot" Monica had saw from her paper airplane, was a
small cabin the owner had rented for them. Back in
the present, the group had arrived and were walking
over to the fruit shop. Monica had yet spotted
another object, which looked golden.

Hello! I have left you the
key to the cabin and also,
to the fruit shop.You will
find the key to the fruit
shop wedged under this
sticky note. And, here is a
list of chores you need to
do.
1. Hang up the closed sign
2. Mop the floor and sweep
it
3. Throw away expired fruits
4. Store fruit juice
properly
5. Clean windows
6. Paint over any old areas
7. Lock the fruit shop's
door

Once the group got to the spot Monica mentioned,
they found a key and a sticky note on the door.
Monica read the note and then reached under the
note with her beak. She pulled her beak out, and
there was a golden key in her beak. She then took it
out and said, "Well, I guess this is the key to the fruit
shop." The group headed for the cabin, while Xavier
slipped out the key to the cabin and pulled off the
sticky note. He then tossed the key to Shirley and
she opened the door. Xavier turned around and the
sun was setting. He told Monica to hang up the
closed sign and lock the door to the fruit shop. After
Monica did so, she joined the others inside the cabin.

Once they got in the cabin, it was getting late. So
they decided to get to sleep. Some slept in
hammocks attached to the roof, while the others
slept in beds down below. Xavier's hammock was
quite unique, it was just a pole attached to the roof.
Being a bat and all, the pole was just fine. Once they
got to sleep, Monica heard a noise and woke up. It
sounded like somebody banging on a glass door.
"DAMMIT!!! It's closed again!!!" screeched a voice.
"La la la. Nothing strange going on here. I'll just
investigate it tomorrow." thought Monica. She rolled
over and went back to sleep.

In the morning, the group took a bus to the nearest
restaurant for breakfast. They planned to do the
investigation in the fruit shop after they got back.
They would do the chores the sticky note indicated
after they did the investigation. Because, if they did
the chores first, they might have thrown away some
valuable evidence. "Are we there yet?" This, which
Primrose kept asking on the way back to the fruit
shop, and Shirley kept answering ignorantly, "No, no
and no." A few minutes later, when Primrose asked
her question, yet again, "Well, a lot of times no, but
this time yes." answered Shirley as the bus pulled
into the bus stop. They got off and walked 5 blocks
to the fruit shop. They then went inside to look for
evidence.
