Once upon a time in a small village, there lived a black cat named Midnight. Midnight was a friendly feline who loved to roam around the cobblestone streets, greeting the villagers with gentle purrs. However, the villagers were worried about Midnight because of an old superstition that black cats brought bad luck.
One day, a kind-hearted girl named Emily noticed Midnight sitting alone near the village square. She decided to approach the cat with a warm smile, ignoring the superstitions that others believed. Emily petted Midnight’s sleek fur and felt a connection with the mysterious black cat…
…That evening a sudden storm swept through the village, causing chaos and stress. The villagers tried to protect their houses and animals but the storm was so strong that it swept some roofs away and damaged many houses and gardens. The next day they started searching for Midnight but it disappeared. Only Emily knew where the cat was. She didn't believe that Midnight had brought this disaster to their village. She hid and sometimes fed the cat. She wanted to take it home after everything turned out well. But the cat scratched her and ran away. Time to time Emily saw the cat at the edge of the forest. She realised that cats are wild and they will never be like dogs - tamed and calm.
The cat called Midnight

Forecast of the rooster
One dark night when two people in love, Maggie and Scoot were walking around a cemetery after watching a horror film. Suddenly they heard something usual, a rooster crowing. Nothing special, but then they thought about it -“rooster crowing in the middle of the night” . It's a little bit weird, but they didn't care and walked away. The next morning they had breakfast and they started their ordinary day. When they started working, they heard the news on their local radio: “Yesterday - Friday 13 …
Yesterday, Friday the 13th, some people burgled a few graves in a local cemetery, stole precious things and damaged the graves. Maggie and Scot were lucky they hadn't seen these burglars because they could attack and hurt them. Scot hasn't thought about this accident but Maggie often gets frozen when they walk along this place.

One day, when I was seven years old, me and my sister were playing. We were running around the house. It was really funny. When suddenly my sister barged into the mirror. I screamed really loudly. When my mother heard it, she ran to us…
Fortunately nothing happened to her that day. But two weeks later when we went skating, my sister fell and broke her hand very badly. She went to the hospital for an X- ray and she was given a bandage. But that wasn´t enough. She lost her favourite lucky charm, her four-leaf clover, while she was going back from hospital. She was very unhappy because it was a present from our grandma. She got the new one on her next birthday but it wasn´t the same lucky charm.
A lucky charm

There is a farm near my house. Horses walk around every day which makes me happy because I like horses. One day I went to work in the morning and found a horseshoe. I was very happy and I hung it on the wall in my garage. I was waiting to see what would happen but nothing changed. But a month later…
…a month later I got a letter from my uncle in Canada. I hadn't heard anything about him for a long time! I was very curious so I opened the letter quickly. It was an invitation to Canada. What a surprise! I have always wanted to visit this beautiful country and now I have a chance to go there. I didn't hesitate and replied to my uncle´s letter. So finally the horseshoe brought me luck!
A horseshoe brought me luck

?!

When I was younger I was very superstitious. For example, whenever I saw a chimney sweeper I would always touch a button. One day I was getting ready for school. I was already late and it started raining. I searched around the whole house but I couldn't find an umbrella. When I asked my mom where it was, she said it was in my room. When I found it I ran downstairs because I was in a hurry. Without thinking I opened the umbrella indoors. I was stressed because I had an important exam in school…
…The Maths exam started and I was very nervous. I had most of them but I still couldn't solve some of the tasks. I quietly asked my neighbour for help but the teacher noticed it and blamed me for cheating on her. I failed the test. At home I had to explain to my parents the note from the maths teacher. In addition, I got wet because I had forgotten my umbrella at school.
I would rather take my raincoat next time
