In this book, we will create the adventures of little Tommy through a collaboration between two schools. One school will be responsible for creating Tommy's adventure story, while the other school will undertake its illustration. The adventures will be different each time. Each of his adventures will be a small step towards boosting his self-esteem.

One summer afternoon, Tommy went to the beach with his parents to swim. He put on his bathing suit, goggles, lifebelt and sunscreen and entered the sea. He really wanted to dive in but he was so scared. He thought he should be strong so he could make it. “You can do it!”, he whispered. He felt courageous and dove into the water. “I made it! That feels great!”. Tommy instantly felt happy and proud of himself. He tried his best and he succeeded.

Tommy participates in his class's school celebration. He had practiced a lot, in the previous days since he was given his part of the poem, to learn his words. The day of the performance has arrived and Tommy must appear in front of the audience to recite his act. He feels uneasy and anxious and he is affraid that he will forget his words. Anna, Tom's classmate and bestfriend, tells him: "Don't worry! Everything will be fine, Tommy!" Tommy replies: "I don't remember anything! I can't go on stage!" Anna tells him: "You have to Believe in yourself, Tommy, and you will succeed!" Tom thinks, "Yes, I have prepared well, I know my words and I will be able to say them correctly!" The show begins. It's Tommy's turn, he takes the stage and recites his poem loud and clear, not forgetting a single word. The audience applauds him! Tommy was very happy because he believed in himself and succeeded! 2nd Kindergarten of Malia

Little Tommy went to school on the school bus every day. He was very happy, he had his place next to the window as he liked it. But one day an older and taller child sat in his own seat on the bus. Tommy was upset, at first he was afraid of the older child and went to sit elsewhere, but as he went to the other seat he thought, no I won't allow him now I will immediately tell him to get up from my seat. This he did with a loud and at the same time decisive voice asking him to get up. The older child stood up and Tommy was very glad to get over his fear.

Little Tommy came back from school to find out the news from his parents:
they are moving away!
All the feelings come at once.. but fear is the strongest! What is going to happen? Will he find new friends? Is the new teacher going to be nice?
As he started to panic, he remembered to take big breaths. He stood in front of a mirror and said to himself:
- You are a good friend! Kids will like you!
- You have a nice smile!
- You will have new things to discover!
He then gave himself a hug and felt better! He gained his self-esteem back!

Tommy was very sad because he didn't know how to jump rope. He felt like he would never be able to do it. He talked to his friends about his feelings and they showed him how to play. Tommy was afraid at first that he wouldn't be able to do it, but they encouraged him to try and he did! How nice it is to jump rope! He exclaimed! I feel very proud of myself! The next time I have a hard time, I know what to do now.

Tommy went out to play in the school garden with his friends. He fell off the slide in the garden last month. It hurt so much. He didn't want to play that day. His friends: Shall we slide down the slide? asked. Tommy: No, no, I'm afraid of falling again. His friends stood by him. One of his friends held his hand. Tommy accepted the offer. They all slid down the slide together. He thanked them for not leaving him alone.

At school, Tommy said he didn't like a girl in the group. He wouldn't play with her, hold her hand, or give her hugs because she had darker skin. He thought that if he touched her, her color would transfer to him, and he didn't want to change the colour of his skin.
Then the teacher and the other children explained Tommy that wouldn't happen. That girl was just like the others, with the same body, she liked to play with her friends, and she was most affectionate too. After that, they held hands and gave hugs to the girl... Now Tommy plays with her, holds her hand, gives her hugs, and says he likes her. He learned that color wasn't important, but friendship is!
