The partners schools will present their experiments like an adventure in a fairy tale and
finally all schools together will create a collaborative story.
The experiments the students had done have been uploaded to Mrs. Fantasy's ST(R)EAM science lab.
Once upon a time there were 3 friends: Mrs Stream Fantasy, George Scientist and Peter Engineer. They decided to go for a walk in the nearby forest. The 3 friends were walking carelessly when suddenly far away, on the horizon they saw a large volcano erupting...
Suddenly a strong storm caught them and they looked for somewhere to hide.When the storm stopped the sun shone in the sky and a beautiful rainbow appeared.
The rainbow slowly disappeared and the three friends stared in fascination at the sky because as night fell the clouds began to take on a beautiful blue color.
But the three friends are hungry know and they find some apples in the forest.When they were washing them in the water of a river they dropped an apple and were surprised that it floated on the water and did not sink.
Up in the sky, the Cloudman ate the apple that the 3 friends had given him. Then, he went near the volcano to meet the 3 friends again. All of them watched the volcano and started running when they saw the lava coming closer. They ran to the house and they were all safe and happy there.

A miracle happened. The paper stuck to the balloon.But they wanted to go out again. They looked out of the window and lava was everywhere. They couldn't go out. The cloudman thought and said "I have the solution to your problem". He collected all the drops together and as they became large and heavy they began to fall to the ground.
The drops were so heavy that when they fell to the ground, they punched through gigantic cavities, from which geysers began to erupt, heated to a red glow.
As the drops fell to the ground, they formed small puddles of water. The cloudman suggested doing an experiment to pass the time, so they sprinkled pepper onto the puddles, watching how it stayed on the surface due to surface tension. Then, they added a bit of soap and marveled at how the pepper "ran away scared," laughing at how magical it all seemed.
In their garden there are olive trees that were not burned by the lava, they decide to collect the olives, crush them and produce oil to season the slices of bread.
Scientist George explains to his friends that oil is heavier than water. He pours the oil into a bowl and lets drops of colored water fall, and the drops fall to the bottom.
Since the oil droplets rose to the top of the water, we decided they were rain clouds. We filled the bottle with colored rice, put cotton wool on top, and it was a perfect cloudy day.
We always see clouds in the sky, right? But what if we could make clouds on our table? Frozen ice and hot water can help us do that. Can we see planets in the sky? Only with some assistance. So, why not try creating our own planets, thought the friends. Using milk, paint, baking soda, vinegar, and dish soap, they decided to give it a try.Make your own colourful planets.

While the three friends were occupied experimenting, the weather outside was getting colder and colder. The sky was black and snowflakes started falling. But they weren’t ordinary snowflakes. They were made of salt and when they touched the ground, colored by the thing they be touched. The colors were mixed and spread and they created the most beautiful snowflakes the three friends had ever seen.
Mrs Stream Fantasy took a glass and started to collect the beautiful snowflakes. Suddenly she dropped the house key into the glass by mistake. How was she going to get it out without putting her hands in the glass and spoiling the beautiful snowflakes? Then Peter the engineer took out a magnet from his pocket and placed it outside the glass. The magnet magnetized the key and pulled it out of the glass without damaging the snowflakes.
George the scientist put very hot water in Peter's glass (full of salt flakes)! What a magic after mixing, the salt was gone. Then the fantasy lady who always had so many beautiful ideas started to paint snowflakes on a sheet of paper that crystallized. Magic!
Mrs. Fantasy ST(R)EAM with her friends took the snowflakes out into the cold. Everything was frozen. How nice it would be to go skating! But they didn't have ice skates.
They found a bicycle and decided to make it an ice bike with 2 iron rods which they put on the wheels.
They would be very slippery though and they were afraid of falling down..
Then Peter the engineer took out the magnet and said to them "George, Mrs. Fantasy ST(R)EAM get on the ice bike and I will pull you with my magnet!"
Dopo aver gustato le deliziose granite e ascoltato la spiegazione di Peter sull'acqua che non cadeva dal bicchiere, i ragazzi rimasero incantati dalla scienza. "Allora", esclamò la signora Fantasy ST(R)EAM, "possiamo fare qualcosa di magico anche noi?"
"Certo!" rispose Peter. "Possiamo creare bolle colorate che sembrano sfere magiche!"
Così, tutti insieme, hanno iniziato a cercare gli ingredienti. Hanno trovato acqua, detersivo per i piatti, zucchero e colorante alimentare in tutti i colori dell'arcobaleno. Con l'aiuto del gelataio, che ha prestato loro bicchieri e cannucce, hanno preparato la soluzione per le bolle.
Soffiando delicatamente nelle cannucce, si formarono bolle colorate che fluttuavano nell'aria, brillando alla luce del sole. Erano come piccole sfere di sapone iridescenti.
"Sembrano delle piccole stelle!" esclamò un amico.
"O forse pianeti colorati!" aggiunse un altro.
La signora Fantasy ST(R)EAM sorrise. "Sono come piccoli mondi, ognuno con un colore e una forma diversi."
I ragazzi si sentivano dei veri maghi, avevano scoperto il segreto per creare qualcosa di bello e sorprendente, semplicemente combinando alcuni ingredienti e un po' di fantasia.
The winter storm blew down the rest of the autumn leaves. George and Mrs Fantasy cut up a thousand autumn leaves and put them in a jar. They were jellow, green and brown. They put the rubbing alcohol on the leaves and got the color of the leaves on tea filters.The colors were jellow, green and brown.
After so many adventures in the land of Science, the three friends decided to travel far away by balloon. They experimented with different materials to inflate the balloon and eventually discovered that this happened when the vinegar met the soda. The three friends fly in the sky and are ready for new adventures.
