Once upon a time, at the bottom of the sea, there lived a goldfish named Shiny. He loved to play with his best friend, Red Mullet. However, in the past few days, something had changed. Shiny had locked himself in his room. He was busy with his laptop! He kept going online and didn’t meet with his friend.

Red Mullet became worried. He hadn’t seen his friend for days, and he missed him. So, he went to Shiny’s house and rang the doorbell.

However, Shiny was so busy with the internet that he didn’t open the door for his friend. Red Mullet got angry and left. Days went by, and the two friends hadn’t met at all since school. Red Mullet decided to go to Shiny’s house again and talk to him.

He rang the doorbell again and again until Shiny finally opened the door. Red Mullet asked him why he had disappeared for so many days and why they hadn’t played together. Did he no longer want to be friends? Shiny explained that, of course, they were friends. But lately, he had been talking nonstop with a new friend on the internet.

Red Mullet asked him, “Do I know this friend? Are they from school or our neighborhood?”

Shiny replied, “No, you don’t know him. I met him on the internet. One day, while I was playing my favorite game, he asked me if we could be friends. I immediately said yes, and ever since, we’ve been talking every day.”

Red Mullet: What’s his name? Have you told your parents about him?

Shiny: Oh, I don’t know his name, but he’s really nice! He sends me lovely gifts!

Red Mullet: Really? And how do you get these gifts? Does he send them to your house?

Shiny: No, no, I go and pick them up from... Oops!!! I have to go.

Said Shiny, quickly leaving because his new friend told him not to tell anyone and that it should be their secret.

Red Mullet started to worry. He spent the whole night thinking about who this friend was! Why didn’t Shiny say his name? Where does Shiny go to pick up the gifts? Is his friend in danger? What should he do? He decided! Tomorrow, he would follow Shiny to see where he goes and who this friend is.

At the same time, Shiny was in his room, talking to his new friend on the internet.

The next day, Shiny hurriedly left his house and swam quickly to get the gifts from his new friend. He was so excited that he didn’t notice Red Mullet following him. He swam far away from  home and got close to the shore, where his parents had told him not to go. Red Mullet was about to call out to him when he saw Shiny jump onto a hook to grab some shiny ornaments. This was very dangerous, thought Red Mullet. What if the hook caught him? What if Shiny got hurt? But where was this friend? Wasn’t he a fish like Shiny? Didn’t he live at the bottom of the sea? Why did he invite Shiny so far from their homes and close to the shore?

At that moment, Red Mullet lifted his head and saw a dark shadow above the hook with the gifts. A cat!! He was scared...

“DON’T BITE!!!” shouted Red Mullet to his friend and quickly swam up to him, pushing him away from the hook.

Shiny was confused. “What’s wrong, Red Mullet? Why are you following me? What are you doing here?”

Red Mullet: “Can’t you see you’re in danger? Don’t you see the dark shadow above the hook? Is this your good friend? That’s a cat! Let’s get away quickly.”

Shiny: “I’m not going anywhere! You’re just jealous! You’re jealous of my gifts,” said Shiny, and he was about to jump onto the hook again.

“Don’t bite!!!” shouted Red Mullet again. At that moment, the paw of a black cat dipped into the water and tried to catch the little fish. The two friends swam as fast as they could to return to the bottom of the sea, to their home.

When they reached his room, Shiny, frightened, thanked Red Mullet for saving him from the great danger he had gotten into.

“Luckily, you’re safe,” said Red Mullet. Just then, messages appeared on Shiny’s laptop. It was his internet friend, still trying to call him. Red Mullet told Shiny to block the account.

Red Mullet: You need to talk to your parents, Shiny. Keeping it a secret isn’t helping you. If you want, we can go and tell them together!

Shiny and Red Mullet told his parents the whole truth. Shiny’s father emphasized that they needed to report it to the police so they could catch this fake friend. This dangerous cat could trick other little fish from the sea and manage to catch them on the hook.

And so they did! Shiny and Red Mullet sat at the computer, found the fake picture of this new friend, and pressed the button: Report!

Immediately, the police started searching for the suspect.

Shiny had another idea. It would be a good idea to tell their teacher about his experience, so that all the little fish at school would be informed and be extra careful. And so they did.

The teacher listened carefully to the two friends and discussed with the little fish  the internet Safety and the dangers of speaking to unknown friends.   

In the end, they all made a song that they sang at the bottom of the sea so that all the fish, big and small, could hear it, learn it, and surf the internet safely.

However, their voices reached the shore, where the cat was once again lurking. She realized that many fish were approaching and cast her hook again, waiting for a good catch. But at that moment, the police siren was heard.

The cat couldn’t escape.

Shiny and all the little fish were happy because they now knew how to protect themselves from "unknown" friends!

... and whenever they wanted to remember what they should do in such a situation, they all sang the song together!
