Mr. John needs to start his own farm, to prepare for winter. So he will need help for the jobs.

The children created a shared picture of Farmer John's farm using their imagination and their chosen words - drawing, constructing or sculpting animals, plants, a house, a river, a garden, and other elements of the farm. Some groups also created a class puppet of Mr John, the owner of the farm. In this way, all the children creatively contributed to the shared story and artistically brought John's farm to life.

Mr. John asks the teams to help him as the work on the farm is too much.
To get better organized and get things done quickly, he asks them to come up with a name for their team that is relevant to the farm

The children choose a name using their imagination and creativity. In addition, they create a mask so as to present their team. In this way, all the children feel that they are a part of a team and members of John's Farms' family!!!!

"In the orchard"
Mr. John's orchard comes to life through the seeds planted by participants, symbolizing hard work, patience, and the joy of nature. Each seed carries the signature of its contributor, turning the orchard into a space of friendship and collaboration.

The seeds of friendship are growing in Mr. John's orchard! Here is how we contributed to this garden of friendship and collaboration!

The children have created a book that contains information on how to grow and care for the plants, their health benefits, as well as a delicious recipe that can be made using these plants.

Potato is the most well-known vegetable worldwide. Originally from the southern part of South America, it was brought to Europe in the 16th century. Potatoes are an excellent source of carbohydrates, vitamin C, B6, potassium, and fiber. There are various types of potatoes, such as white, yellow, red, and purple, each suitable for different dishes.
Potatoes are planted through their "eyes" and require well-drained soil and a moderate climate. They are beneficial for health, helping to improve digestion, regulate blood pressure, and provide quick energy.

Versatile in cooking, potatoes can be used in various recipes, from mashed potatoes and French fries to soups and salads. However, it is important to note that potatoes contain solanine, a substance that is toxic in large amounts. Additionally, NASA sent potatoes into space to study how they grow in microgravity conditions.
A popular global recipe based on potatoes is "French fries."
Curiosities from the world of vegetables
Carrots are not always orange – Although orange carrots are the most well-known, carrots can also come in other colors, such as purple, yellow, or white. The orange carrot was cultivated in the Netherlands in the 17th century as a tribute to the royal family.
Potatoes can grow to enormous sizes – The largest known potato weighed about 11 kilograms and was grown in New Zealand.
Broccoli is an edible "flower" – Broccoli is a flower that hasn’t bloomed yet. It is grown for its florets, which are usually harvested before they open.
Cucumbers are full of water – Almost 95% of a cucumber’s weight is water, making it a perfect hydrating vegetable for hot summer days.
Peppers come in many colors – Peppers are actually red at first, but they can be harvested at different stages of ripeness and turn yellow, orange, or green, depending on the type of pepper.
Spinach is good for muscles, but not because of iron – Although it has long been said that spinach contains a lot of iron, the iron content is not as high as once believed. However, spinach is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.

The Cheerful Scarecrows in the Garden

The crows were very curious about our vegetables, but... surprise! The children built the funniest and bravest scarecrows!

The Cheerful Guardians of the Garden
What is a scarecrow?
It’s a person made of straw who stands in the garden and scares away hungry birds! But don’t worry – it’s friendly with kids!
What does it look like?
It wears funny hats, big clothes, and has arms wide open – as if saying: “Hey birds, don’t nibble our veggies!”
Why is it important?
It protects the vegetables in the garden – like a cheerful guard who never sleeps!
Did you know...?
The first scarecrow appeared a looong time ago, when farmers had no fences and said, “Let’s make a fake person to guard the garden!”
Who makes the best scarecrows?
Children, of course! With lots of imagination, colors, and smiles!
