The CITY was about to cut down
the huge TREE in the center of
town. DOC loved the big TREE.
DOC decided he would write a
letter to the CITY to help them
change their mind.

DOC sat down and started
writing his letter to the CITY.
He soon realized that this would
take him a little bit of time since
he had so much to say. After
he had started writing the
letter, he thought that it would
be great if he shared this letter
with his friends WHILE he was
writing it.

DOC was very clever. He made a
magic straw. If someone looked
through the magic straw, they
could see DOC’s letter to the CITY
from wherever they were. Even if
a person lived in a city far away,
they could keep track of DOC's
progress by looking through the
magic straw.

Now DOC made a bunch of these
magic straws. He gave them to all
his friends. His friends were
amazed. They enjoyed seeing all
the progress that DOC was making
on his letter to the CITY. In
DOC’s letter he discussed how
beautiful the tree was and that the
tree was a part of the CITY’s
history.

Then DOC was having a hard time
finishing the letter. So he decided
he needed a couple of his friends
to help him write the letter. Now
remember how clever DOC was?
Well, he created a magic pen.
Whoever used this pen could also
write on DOC's letter.

If someone had the magic pen
they could even write on the letter
when they weren't at the same
location.

So DOC decided he needed some
help from a friend who pruned
trees. So he gave him a magic pen
and asked him to write in the letter.
Then he gave a different friend
who was good with landscaping a
magic pen and he also could write
in the letter. What was really
amazing was that they all wrote on
the letter AT THE SAME TIME from
different places.

DOC was proud of the letter he
and his friends had made. DOC
decided to send a magic straw to
the MAYOR of the CITY. The
MAYOR read the letter and was
very impressed with DOC’s
thoughtfulness. He decided to
take DOC’s suggestion and keep
the huge tree.

The MAYOR had the big tree
pruned and the sidewalk fixed
near it. Then the MAYOR had
an idea. He asked if DOC would
come to work for the CITY
because of his creation of the
magic straw.

DOC appreciated the offer but
decided he would keep his job
working at Google.

The End.

The End.
