Hello!
I’m Ecolino… and today I have something very special to share with you.
My friend Mossy is here with me too. We’re sitting on the soft soil, listening carefully… because around us there are five little friends. They are not just any friends — they are seeds! And each one of them holds a story inside.“Shall we tell them one by one?” Mossy asked me.“Of course!” I replied. “Because every seed has a voice worth hearing.”So, I, Ecolino, will introduce them to you.And they… will tell you their stories.
Are you ready?

Let’s begin with our first friend.
His name is GORPED
He's a bit shy, but he has a lot to say… if we give him a little time.
Let's listen to him .

13th Kindergarten of Glyfada- Angela Vasiladioti
One day, a blue little seed with brown wavy lines was traveling with the wind from far away. His name was Gorped, but he did not know what his name meant. He knew that he was a fighter and he was not afraid of the dark. Sometimes he seemed very tiny, and other times he looked bigger, as if he could change size.He also had a secret power: when it rained, he felt joy, and he could make the rain turn golden.
His dream was that one day he could play with a ball, with another flower, with astronauts, with an elephant, with a friend, with a bear, with a cat, with a little dog. More than anything, he wished to find his beloved childhood seed friend and grow up together, side by side.
The only ones that could help him were some magical friends with their invisible map that shows exactly where he should be planted. That is why it is very important for his story to be written, because it will lead him to the place where he belongs.
And now the wind is blowing again. Where will it take him, we wonder?
IC San Giovanni Bosco di Giarre-Leonarda G. Torrisi
The wind blew hard, and Gorped, the little blue seed, slowly descended toward a garden. A special butterfly fluttered beside him. "I am Lucealtra," he whispered. "Look: the invisible map says this is your home." The sky turned gray and it began to rain. Gorped felt a sudden joy and used his secret power: the rain turned golden, like light falling from the sky.
Below him was a little girl in a yellow raincoat. She had dug a small hole and was speaking softly to the earth: "I would like a special seed... a friend." The wind released Gorped, who fell lightly into the hole.
The little girl picked him up, amazed by his color. "I will call you Gorped," she said, without knowing why. Then she placed him in the earth, covered him carefully, and added a little water. That night, in the warm, silent darkness, Gorped was not afraid: he felt the earth protecting him. And slowly, something opened inside him. A thin root grew. Gorped was no longer just a seed: it was becoming a sprout.
308 Secondary School, Bucharest-Elena Hudac
Then, the little girl smiled and left, leaving Gorped to sleep under the warm and moist soil. Time passed, days turned into weeks, and the little blue seed began to change. From it sprouted a slender young plant, with a greenish-golden stem timidly emerging from the soil.
Gorped, now a little plant, stretched toward the sun with small, shiny leaves, wavy like the stripes on its seed. He was no longer alone: his roots intertwined with the garden soil, feeling the pulse of life around – worms dug tunnels, ants hurried by, and morning dew drops caressed his leaves. Sometimes, the wind whispered stories from other gardens, and Gorped dreamed of his magical friends, Lucealtra, and the invisible map that promised a bright future.
On a sunny day, the little girl returned with a watering can. "You're growing beautifully, Gorped!" she said, watering him carefully. The plant grew even more. The first larger leaves shone in the light. But a challenge appeared: a shadow from a neighboring tree covered the garden, and Gorped struggled to get enough sun. His invisible friends encouraged him: "Hold on, fighter!"
4th C I.C.Erodoto Corigliano-Rossano-Claudia Catapano
As the days went by, Gorped felt a change inside himself. From the heart of his golden-green stem, a small bud began to sprout. His tallest leaves gently opened, letting colorful petals show through, like tiny brushstrokes of light. Every day, the bud grew, nourished by the sun and water, until it finally turned into a wonderful flower—vibrant and luminous—symbol of his strength and of the little girl’s care. The whole garden seemed to smile at Gorped’s new splendor, and his invisible friends danced happily around him.
The next day, Gorped found a new part of himself emerging from his stem, giving life to a new, wonderful, colorful flower. Gorped, therefore, was a special seed because he gave life to other flowers with petals of different colors. He was delighted with his uniqueness and his fast, energetic growth. One morning, the little girl went to visit Gorped and, to her surprise, noticed that more flowers had bloomed. She watered them carefully, and the next day she saw that Gorped's petals were larger and more colorful than the day before. Even "Lightother" was proud and amazed at his sudden, rapid growth.
As the days went by, Gorped became the tallest and shiniest flower in the garden. His petals were not just blue anymore. They had all the colors of the rainbow! The little girl looked at him with big, happy eyes. But one day she saw something strange. Gorped slowly bent his little head down, like he was sleepy.“Are you tired, my dear friend?” she asked.Just then, the butterfly Lukelatra flew above the flower and whispered, “Don’t be sad! Gorped is getting his biggest gift ready. Look at his heart!”In the middle of the flower, where the petals used to be, tiny little balls began to appear. They were safe and warm in a soft hug. They were new seeds!Suddenly, a sweet wind blew.Gorped made a tiny “Achoo!”And whoooosh! The little seeds began to dance in the air.
Each seed had the same wavy brown lines on it, but now they were shining like gold. Then it started to rain again. Just like always, Gorped turned the rain into gold. The raindrops hugged the seeds and helped them slide gently into the soil, in different corners of the garden.
Gorped felt very light and very happy. He knew he was not just one flower anymore. He was a whole family!“We will sleep for a little while in the warm hug of the earth,” the new seeds whispered. “And when the sun calls us, we will wake up and play with a ball, an elephant, and the astronauts from our dreams!”The little girl understood the secret. She put down her watering can, gently touched the soil, and said, “Good night, Gorped. I will wait for you in the spring so we can play again.”
And just like that, the little blue seed became a seed once more, hiding all the magic of the world inside, waiting for the wind to blow again…
What a beautiful story that was…
don’t you think?
Our next friend is completely different.
His name is NEO.
More lively, more impatient — as if he wants to grow right away!
“Come on, it’s your turn!” I tell him.

Private Kindergarten“To Mikro Gyri”-Class 1-Konstantinos Antonopoulos
Once upon a time, there was a tiny golden seed, sparkling with anticipation, that longed to see the world. It had never gone anywhere beyond the sunny field where it was born. One day, a gentle breeze carried it across a large green valley. The seed was happy and a little nervous, but also very excited about the adventure that was about to begin. A few minutes later, it landed in the middle of a beautiful garden full of flowers. It immediately felt that this was the perfect place for it to grow.
San Roque kindergarden- Uxia Quintela
Neo began to feel tired and covered itself with a little soil to be cozy and warm, and fell into a deep sleep. Several days passed, during which it rained, the sun shone, a rainbow appeared... suddenly, small sprouts began to grow on its body, causing the little seed to wake up. Surprised, Neo said, "What's happening to me?"
Kindergarten” Žiogelis”Anykščiai- Stace Tyliene
Neo quickly realized that it was turning into a young plant. A delicate stem pushed up through the soil and bravely stretched toward the sun. Warm rays of sunlight gently touched its leaves, while drops of rain gave it the strength to grow taller and taller. Although the world seemed big and unfamiliar, the young plant felt happy because it had finally found its place. It understood that the real journey was only just beginning.

As the weather warmed, a stirring began within the young plant. One day, with the first rays of morning light, it noticed red leaves forming around it. It had become even more beautiful and smelled wonderful. It began attracting more bees and insects in the area, resulting in many visitors. It knew the golden seeds in the center of its colorful leaves were precious, and it shared them with nature and other living things.

The beautiful flower felt proud as it danced gently with the wind.
Each day, more bees came to visit, carrying its golden pollen to other flowers nearby.
“I am helping the garden grow!” it whispered happily.
Soon, the bright petals began to fall softly to the ground like tiny red confetti.
In the center, the golden seeds grew stronger and ready for their own adventure.
The flower knew its job was almost done.
With love and patience, it had created new life.
And as the wind blew again, a new journey was about to begin

A tiny, tiny seed was carried by the wind into a garden full of beautiful trees. The seed listened to the birds singing, the rustling of the leaves, and the whispering of the wind, dreaming that one day it would become as beautiful and strong as the plants in the garden, touching the sky with its branches and providing shelter for the birds."
3rd Kindergarten of Vari –Class 2- Aggeliki Kokorou
The little seed was all alone at first and felt very sad. It began to cry.
The wind heard it and went to Ecolino and told him to go to the little seed to keep it company.
Ecolino took Mossy with him, and they ran to find it.
“Don’t be afraid,” they said. “You won’t be alone anymore. We will stay by your side as long as you need.”
They sat next to it, and then they realized something very important.
This little seed would not become just any flower, but a unique magical flower!
The little seed smiled at them and said:
“Do you know something? My mom is a golden seed with red hair and green eyes… That's why I’m not just an ordinary seed! I may be small now, but little by little I will grow roots, then a stem and green leaves. And one day my flower will bloom…”
“But not on just any day! On a special day—the day you, Ecolino, find your dear friend!”
Ecolino had tears of joy in his eyes. It was the first time he truly believed that one day he would meet his friend, and together with Mossy, they gently hugged the little seed.
You see?
Every seed has its own way of seeing the world.
Now,
you will meet a friend who truly loves nature… maybe even more than the others.

Once upon a time, a tiny seed lay beneath the dark soil in a quiet garden. Though small, it held life inside. It dreamed of sunshine and rain, and one day it pushed through the soil, ready to begin a new adventure.

As it emerged from the soil, the tiny sprout felt the warm sun gently touch its leaves. Raindrops fell like little gifts, giving it strength to grow. Each day it grew a bit taller, remembering the dream it once had as a seed. The wind tested it, but the sprout stood brave and strong. It knew this was only the beginning of a long life filled with light and color.

Over time, the sprout grew stronger, and it slowly became a young plant. New green leaves opened at the tips of its branches and danced with the gentle wind. It no longer felt small or weak, but proud as a young plant reaching up to the sky. The rain helped it grow, and the warm sun gave it courage. Deep inside, the little young plant knew that one day it would grow into a tall and strong tree.

One day, the little plant felt something new. A small bud grew at the top. The sun smiled, and the rain helped it grow. Slowly, the bud opened into a beautiful flower. The flower felt happy and proud. Bees and butterflies came to visit. The flower knew that when we care for the soil, the water, and the sun, beautiful things can grow. And it whispered, “Thank you for taking care of our Earth.”
Kindergarten of Ampelakia - Palavra Konstantina
One day, little bees landed on the flower's pollen for sweet nectar. As they flew away, the pollen scattered throughout the garden. Thus, new seeds sprouted. After a while, even more beautiful flowers began to grow alongside them. The flowers became friends and together adorned the garden with their vibrant colors. And so, no flower was ever alone again.
Moshi nudges me and whispers:
“This next friend… has gone through difficulties.”
And yet, he is full of strength.
Let’s listen to him.
His name is BASHEM.

3rd Kindergarten of Vari Class 1-
Athina Argyriou
Once upon a time, it was spring, and a little seed named Bashem lived in a city, in the garden of a house. One very early morning, a strong wind blew, lifted Bashem high up, and carried him to a forest. Bashem enjoyed the ride, but the wind suddenly stopped and he fell to the ground. In front of him was a white and brown cat. The seed and the cat met, became friends, and started playing hide-and-seek. Suddenly, it began to rain, and the rain pushed Bashem down into the soil.

Inside the soil, Bashem began to grow, because the sun was warm and bright!! He put out small roots that were somewhat whitish in color.
After three days, Bashem put out a small, thin, and green sprout!!
His cat friend, who thought he would never be able to find him, ran to call EcoLino to help him...
They were both very happy when they saw the sprout that grew very quickly and immediately realized that it was their friend Bashem, who had transformed, because this sprout looked so much like him!!

Ecolino and his friend the cat started playing in the forest. Our little seed said to rest a little and close his eyes. Further on, two friends, the wolf and the wild boar, decided to have a picnic. They decided they had found the best place for a picnic and ignored our little plant and spread the tablecloth right on top of it.”Ouch," Bashem shouted. The two friends wondered where the voice was coming from and then they saw the small plant.Excuse us, we didn't see you," they said. At that moment, Ecolino approached with the cat. "What's going on here?" Ecolino asked. The wolf and the wild boar explained to them what had happened and invited them all to eat together.

After the picnic, Bashem kept growing strong under the warm sun and gentle rain. One morning, a small bud appeared on his tall green stem.
“Look!” said the cat. “Bashem is changing again!”
Slowly, the bud opened into a beautiful, colorful flower. Butterflies and bees came to visit him in the forest.
Bashem felt happy and proud. “From a tiny seed, I became a flower,” he said. And he swayed gently in the breeze, ready for the next stage of his life cycle.
Grădinița PP ”Rița-Gărgărița”, Structura Lazu, Constanța, România, Laura Andrei
Every day, Bashem was caressed by the sun's rays, caressed by the warm summer breeze, happy with the rich food from the fresh soil. Friends visited him daily and thus brought him great joy. But, what to see... One morning the sun did not shine as brightly, the wind blew harder than usual, the weather was damp and unfriendly... and, and... our little flower was about to catch a cold. She shivered and became sad. Every day it was getting colder.
Friends hardly visited her anymore. Another cold morning came, with a strong wind and before he could regain consciousness, Bashem felt how the seeds and petals that were once red and happy were falling off, and carried on the wings of the wind they rose into flight and flew far, far away...

Winter passed silently in the forest. Where Bashem had grown, the earth seemed to be asleep. One day, Ecolino the hedgehog emerged from his burrow and stopped right there, remembering the friendly flower that greeted everyone with its red petals.
As he sniffed the damp earth, he saw something move: a small green shoot timidly peeked out from between the leaves. Ecolino smiled and sheltered it with a larger leaf.
“Welcome back, Bashem,” he whispered.
With the spring sun, the shoot grew and opened a new, colorful bud. It wasn't identical to the previous flower, but it brought with it the same joy.
Bashem had bloomed again. And the forest, once again, was filled with life.
And now… we arrive at our final friend.
He might be the quietest of them all… but sometimes the quiet ones carry the strongest messages.
His name is ROSEKT.

1st Kindergarten of Kitsi, Greece/ Maria Ponta
Once upon a time, Ecolino, together with Mossy, was in the forest having a picnic.
Ecolino ate a mandarin that Mossy gave him and decided to plant the seeds.
Before planting them, the two friends smiled and decided to give a name to the little seed. They named it Rosektand made a wish that it would always be protected.
Then Ecolino dug a small hole, placed the little seed inside, and covered it with a soft layer of soil, like a tiny blanket, so it would be safe.
The two friends poured a little water and sang a small song of love.
That evening, as the moon gently lit up the forest, the little seed Rosekt rested quietly in the soil.

After their songs ended, Ecolino and Mossy began to come to that little mound of earth every day. Ecolino would bend down and whisper, "Come on, Rosekt, it's time to see the sun!"
As the days passed, the sun warmed the earth, and the rain provided soft water. One morning, while the birds were singing joyfully in the forest, something unexpected happened on the surface of the earth.
The earth cracked slightly, and a tiny, vibrant, green sprout poked its head out. Ecolino jumped with joy and shouted to Mossy, "Look, Mossy! Rosekt is waking up!"
Mossy came to her side, smiling. Rosekt had not only taken root, but was also growing joyfully, as if it had heard the love song being sung. Ecolino couldn't believe how strong this tiny sprout was. It was no longer just a sprout, but a new and hopeful member of the forest.

The tiny sprout grew a little taller each day; as its slender stem strengthened and its leaves multiplied, it had become a young plant. In the mornings, it absorbed the sun's rays, and in the evenings, it swayed gently in the cool breeze. Its roots advanced steadily into the depths of the soil, while raindrops gave it life. Ecolino and Mossy visited it every day, checking the soil and making sure it didn't go thirsty. The young plant seemed to feel their love, opening its leaves a little wider in gratitude. It was no longer just a small sprout, but a young mandarin tree sapling, determined to grow and bringing hope to nature.

Mossy and EcoLino continued to care for the little seedling. They watered it when the soil dried out. Sometimes they tilled the soil to aerate it. After a while, buds began to form on the branches of the little seedling. EcoLino and Mossy knew that the buds would turn into wonderful flowers. Soon, their wait was over. The little seedling was now covered in flowers.
Orhanbey Primary School, Bursa, Turkey - Nadir CAL
As the light, sweet scent of the flowers filled the garden, Mossy took a deep breath. “We did it,” she whispered. EcoLino gazed at the branches in admiration. The white blossoms shimmered in the sunlight, and bees buzzed joyfully around them.
As the days passed, the delicate flowers gave way to tiny, green fruit buds. Rosekt was now not just a symbol of hope, but also of patience and hard work. When the wind blew, its branches swayed more confidently, its roots held more firmly to the soil.
As Mossy checked the soil, she said proudly, “It’s getting stronger every day.” EcoLino nodded. “Everything that grows with love grows stronger.”As the season progressed, the small green mandarins slowly began to change color. First they turned light yellow, then a warm orange. The garden was no longer just a garden; it was a living testament to hard work, friendship, and living in harmony with nature.Rosekt gently trembled its leaves as it greeted the morning sun. It was as if it were saying, “Thank you.” Mossy and EcoLino knew this was just the beginning. Many more springs, many more flowers, and many more sweet mandarins to share with CHILDREN lay ahead.
And just like that… our journey comes to an end.
I look around at my five friends — the little seeds who shared their stories. They are no longer just seeds. They are something more. They are stories, dreams, and promises for the future.
“Will we meet again?” Mossy asks.
I smile.
“Of course. Stories never truly end. They simply… wait for the right moment to bloom again.”
I turn to our friends.
“Until next time… keep growing, keep dreaming, and remember: every small seed can become something great.”
Goodbye for now…
and see you in the next adventure.
— Ecolino
