Chapter 1
Once upon a time there was a little elf called Eramus. He lived in Sunnyland, a well hidden island near Lapland, far away from people. Sunnyland was an ideal place as only elves, reindeer and fairies were its inhabitants. It had long sunny beaches and palm trees in its main part, just like an exotic island and it was Santa’s favourite holiday destination.

Eramus was one of Santa’s helpers but he didn’t look like all the other elves. He had orange hair, brown eyes, and pointed ears. He wore glasses, a green hood, a green uniform with a black belt and black boots. He was cute and short with a pair of beautiful tiny wings. His mother was a fairy and his father was an elf, which made him even more special!

Eramus was happy because he discovered Sunnyland and Santa Claus decided to move there. So the birthday party that the elves organize for Eramus every year was going to take place on Sunnyland.

Eramus had a secret, which was a problem, too. The Sunnyblood tribe lived on the island. The people of the tribe threatened Eramus that they would destroy his party if he revealed them to Santa and the elves.

Eramus had an enemy. It was Stewart, one of the elves. Stewart was Santa’s best assistant. When Eramus discovered Sunnyland, Santa made Eramus his best assistant. So now Stewart was jealous of Eramus.

Stewart was so jealous... and it was a big problem for Eramus because Stewart was so evil, too. One sunny day Stewart called his old friend, a wolf named Shadow. Shadow was a black wolf and he was number one in the wolf pack.

The people of the Sunnyblood tribe didn't know about Shadow and his pack. They did't know about Stewart's very bad idea either. The next week Stewart and Shadow planned how to make their bad idea a reality.
The next month the wolves stole the Sunnyblood people's things - rings, money and other expensive objects. Nobody saw them because wolves are quiet, fast and clever. And they stole at night. But they didn't steal these things for themselves.

After they stole a lot of these expensive things, they went to Eramus's home at night and hid them there. They stole his boot and in every Sunnyblood member's house where they stole something they made a bootprint on the floor. Then they brought the boot back to Eramus. Stewart was so happy.

The next day the people of the Sunnyblood tribe found out about their stolen things and they discovered Eramus' bootprints. They went to Eramus' house and they found their gold…
So now Eramus wasn't Santa's best assistant. Santa's best assistant was Stewart again. Eramus was sad and he felt bad. Everyone hated him and that meant no birthday party at all.
Shadow's pack asked for a reward but Stewart didn't want to give them anything. We know that wolves are clever and when Shadow met Santa, he told him about Stewart and that everything was Stewart's idea. Santa didn't want a problem with the wolves so he let them go.

Santa talked to the people of the Sunnyblood tribe about Stewart, Stewart's bad idea and Eramus. Eramus was happy because everyone loved him and he was Santa's best assistant again. And people hated Stewart now. Stewart was jealous and angry but he couldn't do anything.

Stewart was really surprised to see Eramus.
‘What are you doing here?’ said Stewart.
‘I'd like to talk to you. May I come in?’
Eramus didn’t wait for Stewart’s answer and he went into the living room. They sat on a comfortable sofa. Eramus looked around the room.
'What a mess!' he thought. 'Stewart doesn't clean the house at all! He must feel depressed!'
‘Well, why do you want to talk to me?’ Stewart asked.
‘Because I can’t be your rival. Why don’t we make peace at last? In my opinion making up with you is the best solution to our problems! I really want to be your friend. And I think that you deserve the title of Santa’s best assistant.'

‘I’m so happy but… what about the Sunnyblood tribe? Do you think they will let me stay on Sunnyland?' asked Stewart.
‘I don’t know. I think we should look for them and ask their chief.’
‘Yes, that's a great idea!’
Early in the morning, Stewart, Eramus and Santa Claus visited the Sunnyblood tribe's village and after a nice conversation with its inhabitants they returned home in a good mood. They were happy because all of them could stay on Sunnyland. The tribe was very friendly and funny.

Santa Claus smiled in a friendly way and said to them, 'I'm sure that both of you will be the best assistants in the world as I believe in your good cooperation with me and the other elves. Remember that there is no I in teamwork.'
'We know, we know! All for one and one for all!' the elves shouted.
