It was just a normal day, here on White Island, just chilling on the boat. And it looked like a good day to get out and about. Or even go fishing. I saw the sunlight shining on the peak of the volcano, calling me to go there, but I never knew what was in store for me that day…

I pushed open the door, determined to get to the peak, but then, my brother Jack stopped me in my tracks. He was wearing his normal clothes, a gaming t-shirt and some shorts. He was relaxed, as always, but he looked like he was angry with me. But what for?

“Where do you think you’re going Mark? Without telling me first?” he said. “Uhh I was just going to the peak of the volcano, to go exploring” I sounded nervous. “To get yourself killed? I don't think so” Jack sounded worried? About me? Well that’s a first. “Well how about you come along as well? Just like the good old days” I said, hoping he would say yes. “Well, as long as you don't get us killed, i'm fine with it” I let out a sigh of relief. “Alright, let's go!” But I was still pretty sure that Jack was worried… 

Climbing up rocks, tripping over stones, falling off the track… What felt like an eternity later, we reached our destination. “Alright, we're here, let's go back down now” Jack said. “But… I wanted to…” I was cut off by Jack. “Well you go get yourself killed, i'll be waiting down by the boat” “But…” “Smell ya later” it's what I should of expected, he's always stuck in game world. Typical Jack. I didn't care anyway, I was going to explore all on my own. The volcano looked a bit steamy, but that didn't stop me. I walked around a little, and then it came. Woah! What's that? I grabbed my creature scanner. “The Chimera, the Chimera was, according to Greek mythology, a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature of Lycia in Asia Minor, composed of the parts of more than one animal. It is based on a lion, a snake and a goat.” The creature scanner explained. Just keep walking, I thought. No… No… JUST RUN!!!!

Back at the boat… 

I'm pretty sure I left something at the bow of the boat. “Woah, what's this? Scanner app, launch.” Jack said. “Power orb, a power orb is something that can teach someone powers, for example, flying, laser vision etc… This power orb for instance, is a power orb that teaches one to fly. And the other one over there, teaches one laser vision, but beware, do not use both of them on yourself.” Jacks scanner app explained. “Ooh, i'm gonna get the flying one” Jack was over the moon with his discovery. 

A while later… “Woah! I can fly! I’m gonna fly around White Island to see what's happening.” Soon after… “I-i-is that Mark? That looks like the Chimera! I'm gonna go save him, even if I don't really like him, he's family.” “Woah! Is that Jack? He's flying! Is he coming to save me?” I wondered if Jack would come save me. “Mark! Hold on!” I grasped onto Jack just in time, a split second later and the Chimera would’ve had me! Or I would’ve been blown to smithereens! So that explains why the volcano was getting steamy… 

Back at the boat…

“What the **BEEP** we're you thinking Mark? I told you not to go up there!” So Jack really was worried. “I'm just lucky i'm here right now, thanks Jack. I'm just wondering where you learnt to fly?” I was thankful Jack saved me. “I found a couple of power orbs, and I have one for you, too. You can learn laser vision” “Aw thanks Jack! You’re the best!” So everything was peaceful again, for now…
