I have a cat which is green.
My cat is sweet, not at all mean.
My cat likes adventures, you will see.
So please come now and listen to me.
Why is the cat green?

My green cat likes to tickle me,
It purrs, sounding a bit like a bee?
It cuddles between and around my feet,
It really is a tickly treat.
Where do you tickle?

My two feet each have five toes.
They act like tigers, this is how it goes.
They bite and scratch if you come too close.
My poor green cat and its tender nose!
What else can bite and scratch?

Along comes a bouncing spotted ball.
My cat wants to pounce and becomes so small.
Chasing the ball our friend disappears.
Do feel free to shed some tears...
How do you bounce?

It seems this saga ends right here,
there simply is no more to hear.
Is the saga over?

The spotted ball bounces to a mouse,
waiting unwittingly outside its house.
The mouse is not so very pleased,
frightfully afraid of being squeezed.
What could be inside the house?

Now the mouse, it sees my cat,
which is bigger than a rat?
Fast! The mouse, it starts to run,
shouting "Do not eat me like a bun!"
Where should the mouse run to?

The mouse is clever, yes indeed,
finding a friend when in need.
The dog, it growls, looking grim.
My cat now stops, at a whim!
Why is the dog growling?

The dog gives the ball a great big bite,
While my cat still holds on very tight.
The ball, it shoots up into the sky.
My cat is suprised and wondering WHY?
Do you know why?

The ball, it now is out of air.
Could it be? Is it fair?
The earth looks amazingly vast
My cat falls down, frightfully fast!
What happened to the ball?

Finally, my cat does come down.
Not to break its precious crown,
landing in a big old pot,
on four feet, it hits the spot.
Where did the pot come from?

Annoyed and angry, my cat is lost.
It wants to eat, no matter the cost.
All roads then, should lead to Rome.
But my cat just wants to go home!
What happens when you are lost?

The way back home is quickly found.
My cat now makes a purring sound,
happy to snuggle between two feet.
Look at my green cat, isn‘t it sweet?
What is the cat going to do tomorrow?
