Once upon a time

Carlitos lived in Almaria, the old name of Almeria. His father was a fisher. When he met the witch, Carlitos was at the sea with his father whose name was Ion.

Day by day, Carlitos carried the fish from the sea home or to the fish market

Carlitos vivía en Almería, el viejo nombre de Almería. Su padre era un pescador. Cuando conoció a la bruja, Carlitos estaba en el mar con su padre cuyo nombre era Ion.

. Every time Cloanța would follow Carlitos to scare him and steal his fish.

One day, the king of Alcazaba Castle ordered a lot of fish for the marriage of his only daughter. Thinking of big gain, Carlitos

accepted the king`s offer and began to stuff his carts.

Cloanța knew already about his arrival at the castle. Carlitos discharged the fish. In the meantime, Cloanța informed the guardians that Carlitos fish had been stolen. Suddenly, the guardians pounced over Carlitos and arrested him.

They threw him in the dungeon, in the basement of the castle. The king, as soon as he learnt what has happened, he sed hin only daugter to give an order to the guardians to release poor Carlitos. The witch, who understood what was going to happen, ran quickly to the castle, she put a spell on the beutiful princess and took her figure.

After that, she visited the young fisher. The minute he saw her, he fell in love with her.

The horrible witch, Cloanta, had reached/achived her goal and now she was about to implement her evil plan...

Lo lanzaron a la mazmorra en el sótano del castillo. El rey, tan pronto como se enteró de lo que había sucedido, envió a su única hija a dar una orden a los guardias para liberar al pobre Carlitos. La bruja comprendiendo lo que iba a suceder, corrió rápidamente al castillo, le echó un hechizo a la bella princesa y tomó su figura. Después de eso visitó al pobre pescador. En el momento en que él la vio, cayó rendido de amor. La horrible bruja, Cloanta, alcanzado su objetivo, estaba a punto de poner en marcha su malvado plan...

Cloanta thought that she was so ugly,and creepy that nobody loved. She decided to create a potion to turn everybody from Almeria in hideus, dwarfish, plump...

Cloanta pensaba que ella era fea y cruel y que nadie la quería, nadie quería ser su amigo/a, se sentía sola, triste, diferente, apartada...Ella decidió crear una poción para transformar a toda la población de Almaria en personas horrorosas, feas, desaliñadas,...

Almaria

After that, Cloanta put the potion in Carlitos' fish These fish would be cooked for the feast of the princess" wedding. The day of the wedding, all the city inhabitants were at the feast and after eating the fish they all were hideous, dwarfish, plump, scruffy, grumpy and nasty people.

Después, Cloanta vertió su poción en los pescados que Carlitos había pescado. Estos peces debían ser cocinados para el festín de la boda de la princesa. El día de la boda, todos los habitantes de la ciudad acudieron al festín y después de comer el pescado se convirtieron en  personas horrorosas, feas, desaliñadas, cascarrabias y malolientes.

Cloanta was the happiest in the world, because she wasn’t different

and isolated anymore. All the Almeria inhabitants were ugly and nasty

people like her. She decided to kill Carlitos, who was the only one

who suspected her evil plan.

In the midnight, she entered the dungeon in the castle with a sharp

dagger in her hand. Fortunately, she had forgotten that she was in

the beautiful princess’ appearance. Carlitos opened his eyes and saw

her. He hugged and kissed Cloanta. He told how much he missed

and love her. At this moment she became the same ugly witch, she

was before.

Cloanta es la más feliz en el mundo, porque ya no era diferente a todos.Todos los habitantes de Almería eran canallas o desgraciados como ella. Decidió matar a Carlitos porque era el único que sospechaba su maléfico plan. A media noche se enteró de que había un calabozo en el castillo con un arma peligrosa en su mano.Afortunadamente ella olvidó que era un preciosa princesa aparentemente. Carlitos abrió sus ojos y se lo dijo.El la abrazo y beso ha Cloanta. El le dijo que falló y le amo. En ese momento se volvió una bruja muy desgraciada como era antes

While the witch was preparing to cast a spell to Carlitos there was a strange soundcoming from outside. The castle was being attacked by pirates. The Alcazaba Castle was constructed on the ruins of a Roman fotification and the Alcazaba original purpose was as a defence against pirates, thanks to its commanding position with views over the city, down to the sea and across to Africa.

With so much noise and confusion, Carlitos managed to escape from there.

... y se echó a reir en voz alta ... ja jajajaja!

Mientras la bruja se preparaba para echar un hechizo a Carlitos había una extraña solemnidad desde fuera. El castillo estaba siendo atacado por piratas. El castillo de la Alcazaba fue construido sobre las ruinas de una fortificación romana y el objetivo original de la Alcazaba fue como defensa contra los piratas, gracias a su posición dominante con vistas a la ciudad, al mar y a África.

Con tanto ruido y confusión, Carlitos logró escapar de allí.

The attack continued for a few days. The last day the King died. He was killed with a sword in his heart. After three days there was a new King. It was the evil witch Cloanta who had taken his appearance. She had a new evil plan, to kill the beautiful princess.

El ataque continuó unos cuantos días.El último día el rey murió. Fue asesinado con una espada en la cabeza. A los tres días hubo un nuevo rey. Era la malvada bruja Cloanta quien había cogió su apariencia y lo había suplantado. Tenía un nuevo malvado plan, para dañar a la hermosa princesa.

The priness had already escaped to look for Carlitos. He had managed to escape to a cave up in the mountains. On her way to the cave, she met an old shepherd, who was very poor and hungry. He did not ask for any food, but the princess felt very sorry for him, so she offered him to share a meal with her. He was very thankful, and while they were eating, he asked her why she looked so

troubled. She told him

everything about her

love for Carlitos and

about the evil witch.

La princesa tenía todo preparado para iniciar la búsqueda de Carlitos que se había escondido en una cueva en la cima de la montaña. En su camino a la cueva ella se encontró con un viejo pastor que era muy pobre y que tenía hambre. El hombre no le pidió comida, pero la princesa se sintió muy apenada por él y le ofreció compartir su comida. Él se lo agradeció mucho, y mientras estaban comiendo le preguntó por qué estaba tan preocupada. Ella le dijo que haría todo lo posible

para salvar a Carlitos y también

le habló sobre la malvada bruja.

The sheperd heard all the story and decided to reveal his true identity. He was a good wizard who was quite old so he had retired on that mountain to live in loneliness. He already knew Cloanta and how evil she was, that´s why he decided to help Princess Leda. He gave her a bag with coloured beans , she had to plant them when combination wasup to her. Princess Leda thought, then she decided: she choose three beans ono green, one white and another red, she planted them and after a while three fairies were born from this bean. They took her to a cave but it was closed. She called Carlitos and then she heard him. The three fairies gave her some gifts : the white fairy gave her peace , the red courage and the green hope. Lreda with the gifts of couragre entered the cave and foun Carlitos. With the gift of hope they started their trip towards to Almeria. Now they could use only the gift of peace...

El pastor escuchó toda la historia y decidió revelar su auténtica identidad. Él era un buen mago, que se tuvo que retirar por su vejez y se fue a las montañas a vivir en soledad. Él ya conocía a Cloanta y lo diabólica que era,por eso decidió ayudar a la princesa Leda. Le dió una mochila con judías de colores.Tenía que plantarlas cuando necesitara ayuda.Ella tenía que acertar los colores y combinaciones apropiadas en cada momento. La princesa Leda pensaba y pensaba,después decidió coger tres judías.Una verde,una blanca y otra roja,  las plantó y al momento nacieron de ellas tres hermosas hadas. Las hadas le dijeron que había una cueva cerca.Llamó a Carlitos y luego lo escuchó.Las tres hadas le dieron regalos: la  blanca le dió su paz,la roja coraje y la verde esperanza. Leda con el regalo del coraje,entró en la cueva y encontró a Carlitos.Con el regalo de la esperanza empezaron su viaje a las torres de Almaría.Solo le quedaba el regalo de la Paz.

They arrive in Almaria with the hope that everything would be fine. Whole inhabitants of the town were in dirt and squalidity because they tuned into hideous , dwarfish, plump, scruffy, grumpy and nasty people, by Cloanta, the witch. Streets were full of garbage , the crops were not picked up , the grass in the gardenswas not mowed, the life in the town stopped because nowbody went to school, work or anywhare.

Llegaron a Almaria con la esperanza de que todo iba a salir bien. Todos los habitantes de la ciudad estaban sucios ya que habían sido transformados en transformaron, horrorosos, feos, desaliñados, cascarrabias y canallas por Cloanta, la bruja. Las calles estaban llenas de basura, los cultivos no estaban recogidos, la hierba de los jardines no se cortaba. La vida en la ciudad se paró, porque nadie iba a la escuela, a trabajar o a ningún lado.

Princess Leda and Carlitos never lost their hope thanks to the gifts fairies presented them. They got down to bussines to save the city from the evil whitch. First of all they have to break the spell that Cloanta put so they could become happy, lovely, hardworking, and polite people like in the old days. Pincess Leda choose a blue been this time from the little bag, planted it and waiting. The been growing fast turned into a fairy like the others . She asked the princesswhat she wanted her city to be fine thas in the old days . After the whish , the fairy presented her the gift of patience and said "Only you can succede it dear Leda i can only show you the way of succes, so i will ask you a riddle and if you find theorrect anwser you can defeat with the patiencein your hand," The fairy told the ridlle :Has long ears and small tail. gets confised when seeing the hunter, catch it and feed with patience and love, present it to evil king as a gift When she touch it, you will defeat

La princesa Leda y Carlitos, nunca perdieron la esperanza gracias a los regalos de las hadas que les dieron. Lo  primero de todo fue que tuvieron que romper el hechizo que Cloanta puso para que ellos pudieran llegar a ser felices, amados, trabajadores, y educadas como en los viejos tiempos. Leda eligió una judía azul , esta vez de la bolsa pequeña , la plantó y esperó. La judía creció rápido convirtiéndose en un hada como las otras. Ella le preguntó a la princesa que quería, y la princesa le dijo que quería sus ciudad como en los viejos tiempos. Después del deseo el hada le dió el regalo de paciencia y dijo: ``Solo tu puedes hacerlo, querida Leda,yo solo puedo enseñarte el camino. Te diré una adivinanza y sila aciertas , el regalo será tuyo. El hada le dijo la adivinanza. ``Tiene orejas largas , y se siente confuso cuando ve a un cazador, cógelo y cuidalo con paciencia y amor, presentalo a un rey malvado como regalo y cuando lo toque te ayudaré´´.

Princess Leda was trying to solve the mystery. She was thinking about the weirdest animals. All of sudden, she thought of the hare which is a rare species in Spain. Leda said about it to fairy right away, but she just nodded and disappeared. -How can hare save the world?- thought Leda. She set off to find an animal together with Carlitos. After a long time they found it near the lake. The princess fed it with love and patience and then she went to the king to give him a "gift".While they were walking along the town they saw suffering and sadness of people. She promised herself that she had to destroy Cloante and help the people. The princess couldn't get into the castle because there was a magical gate which couldn't be passed by any animal.

La princesa Leda intentaba resolver el misterio. Ella estuvo pensando sobre los animales más raros. De repente, ella creyó que la liebre era una especie rara en España. Leda dijo eso para que el hada volviese, pero ella acabó inexistente y desaparecida- ¿Cómo puedo salvar el mundo?- pensó Leda. Ella salió para encontrar un animal junto a Carlitos. Después de un largo tiempo lo encontraron cerca de un lago. La princesa cayó en el amor con él y paciente y después ella fue al rey para darle un “regalo”. Mientras ellos estaban andando por la ciudad ellos vieron triste y sufriendo a gente. Ella se prometió a sí misma que destruiría a Cloanta y ayudaría a la gente. 

Sad princess went with the hare to the forest to find some food for it. In the meantime, she was thinking about the name for it. She thought about her great- grandfather's name. -Najko SAJKO- she said. Suddenly, something strange happend to the hare. It jumped out of her hands and started growing and changing into a human. The princess and Carlitos were very shocked. -What happened to you?! - they asked. -I am Najko SAJKO- the Polish Lord.

 La princesa triste fue al bosque y encontró una fruta para ella. Mientras tanto, ella pensó el nombre para eso. Ella pensó para eso grande el nombre de su abuelo- Najko Sajko- ella dijo. Repentinamente, algunas cosas extrañas le sucedían a la liebre. Ella saltaba hacía sus brazos y comenzaba a crecer y convertirse a humano. La princesa y Carlitos estaban muy impactados - ¿Qué te pasa?- Ellos preguntaron-Yo soy Najko Sajko- El señor impecable- Yo iré a ayudarte a matar al rey malo.- El dijo

 Suddenly, the main guard of the castle stopped them and commanded to go back. But the Polish Lord said that if they wanted to fight, he would gathered three times greater army than theirs. But the people, who had bewitched by Cloanta didn’t see another way to resolve the conflict, exept the war.

The good and wise princess Leda decided to use the last bean – the white one. The Peace! She called the white fairy and asked her to help them in that complicated conflict between the Goodness and the Evil.

De repente,el capitán de los guardianes del castillo los paró y los mandó fuera de este.Pero el caballero polaco dijo que si ellos querían pelear, debían preparar un ejército tres veces mejor que el de ellos.Pero las personas que habían sido hechizadas por Cloanta no veían ninguna forma para resolver el conflicto, excepto la guerra.

La buena y sabia princesa Leda decidió usar la última habichuela - La blanca .¡La paz! Ella llamó al hada blanca y le preguntó si podía ayudarlos a ellos en ese conflicto entre el bueno y el malo.

Immediately, the fairy of the peace came and asked all the people for a silence. She said:

"Why do you want to fight, why do you want to have more victims? Isn’t it better to live in a peacefull country, where the people are friends, help and love each other. To work, to study and take care to their land? People have to become good, understanding, friendly, instead of being hideous, plump, scruffy, grumpy and nasty people "

Inmediatamente el hada de la paz fue y dijo a toda que se callara. Ella dijo:

¿No es mejor vivir en país con paz , donde toda la gente son amigos, se ayudan y se quieren los unos a los otros.Para trabajar estudiar, cuidar vuestra tierra. Las personas tendrían que volverse buenas, comprensivas ,amigables en vez de ser horribles,gordos,descuidados, gruñones y desagradables?  

Mientras estaban pensando que hacer, Najko Sajko le contó a la Princesa Leda y Carlitos la triste historia de su vida. Cuando el era un niño, su hermana gemela y él robaron el libro de hechizos de la casa de un famoso mago. Ellos estaban tan impresionados con su conocimiento y poder que querían ser como él, y para ser como él tenían que aprender los conjuros, así que robaron el libro y estuvieron jugando, recitando hechizos. No fueron conscientes de que el hechizo que susurraron sería tan poderoso que se haría verdadero. Así es como él se convirtió en liebre, no supo que le pasó a su hermanita y ahora su hechizo había acabado, su único deseo era averiguar qué le pasó a su hermana.

Decidieron ir al castillo pensando en cómo podrían encontrar paz. Finalmente llegaron al castillo y cuando entraron por las puertas Najko Sajko dijo con emoción: ¡este es el castillo!, y la Princesa Leda descubrió que Najko Sajko era su tío, el hermano perdido de su madre, y lo abrazó.

When they were thinking what to do  Najko Sajko told Princess Leda and Carlitos the sad story of his life. When he was a little boy, his twin sister and him stole the book of spells from the house of famous wizard. They were so impressed with his knowledge and power they wanted to be like him and to be like him they had to learn the spells, so they stole the book and were playing, saying spells. They were not aware that the one spell they whispered will be so powerful to became true That is how he became hare, he did not know what happened to his little sister and now, when the spell was gone his only wish was to find out what happened to his sister.

They decided to go to the castle thinking how they could find peace. Finally they arrived to the castle and when they entered the gates Najko Sajko said with excitement – this is my family castle, I was born and raised here, I want to see my family so badly, and then Princess Leda discovered that Najko Sajko was her uncle, the missing brother and she hugged him
