Elephant

African Elephant is the largest living mammal species in existence today. It is a herbivore. It eats grass, leaves, branches, smaller bark and fruits.
Lion



The males gain food and defend the territory and fertilise females. Females hunt and care for lion cubs.
Ostrich

Ostriches have excellent eyesight, see very well even at a distance of
5 km. These are the largest and fastest
non-volatile birds.
Zebra



The zebra is white with black stripes, not vice versa. They eat plants, mostly grass.
Rhino
Rhinoceroses achieve even weight 1 ton.


Antelope Kudu
The male a weigh of 190-200 kg. They lead
a lonely life, but sometimes they form the
a herd of males, which consists of 4 to 8 young antelopes.

Giraffe
Giraffes are the highest living animals. They live for 20-30 years. Tongues have 50 cm long.


Hippo
Most of the day they stay in water. They are active only at dusk and at night. They can wander up to
8 km inland in search
of food.


Leopard
They hunt at night, and during the day they rest, often napping on branches of trees. As a rule they lead a sedentary lifestyle, but in search of new hunting grounds they can move.



Cheetah
They hunt using eyesight and speed, they do not hide. They are the fastest land animals and can run at speed of up to 100 km/h. The record of 100 m running is 6 seconds.

Chameleon

The chameleon is famous for its ability
to change colours, having a long tongue and
its original body shape.
