I had a best friend called Leah we did everything together. We walked to school together, we had sleep overs at mine and her place every weekend. She knew I had her back and I know she has mine.  “TOGETHER 4 EVER NO MATTER WHAT,” we would say to each other. But something changed between us, but before I tell you we are going to start at the beginning the very beginning.

We always walked to school together, and back.  

One night we were talking on the phone, we were  just talking about how dumb school is and making fun of each other's crushes. I asked if she wanted to stay over at my house tonight, our parents both agreed so she got dropped off.

We got all her stuff sorted , her sleeping bag and food. She came over and  threw her clothes on my bed ( Like excuse me , who do you think you are.)Now the scary stuff...

It was about 11:00pm when we heard what sounded like a window breaking. We thought someone was trying to break in.

We both ran to my parents room but when dad went to go see what it, there was no sign of anything.

That’s when I realized who it was “ IT “ ( that's what I called it, a monster of course). It was hungry, it wanted to play, It wanted  me! I told Leah everything about “ It “. She started to worry. She was worrying to much for my liking.  After awhile we started to get a bit sleepy then we heard footsteps coming from upstairs.

Both of us quickly jumped under the covers It was quiet for about 4 mins when there was a huge bang clash smash shatter. We screamed. Then I saw“ It “ by Leah. I screamed and shouted “behind you!! “ I blanked out all of a sudden, a few seconds later I woke up to Leah’s scream. She was gone. I could hear her going down the stairs screaming I ran down chasing after her but I was too slow.I hated the look on her face she was so scared.

I couldn’t save her!! That’s why to this day is I still beat myself up for letting that happen. She was my best friend.

But what I still wonder to this day is what happened to my parents, all I remember was. I was running down the stairs chasing after Leah, but when I got to the bottom I lost her. I mean I could still hear her screaming saying “ HELP ANNABELLE!!! “ . Her screaming stopped then I saw “ It.” He had 3 huge sacks. They looked heavy. I ran upstairs to tell my parents. They were gone..
