It was an ordinary day in Happy Town. All people were living in peace in this town.
Children were also very happy and getting on well with each other.
It was winter time and new year was coming. All children were very excited for the coming new year.
That day it was snowy and snowflakes were falling from the sky as if dancing.

Children decided going out and playing snowball and making a huge snowman. Sue, Sally, Tom, Jack , Mary and Tim wore their thick clothes and went out to play.

They had lots of fun playing outside. They even made a snowman with a carrot on its nose. Its eyes were from olives.Tim also put a broom on its arm. There was only one thing missing; a scarf. Sue cried :

- I have an extra scarf. I will go and get it from my house. It will suit him a lot.

All children laughed and applauded.

Unfortunately, while Sue was running towards home, she slipped away and fell on the ground. She hurt her leg badly and was in pain. All friends ran to her and tried to help her.But she couldn't move as her leg was broken. They called their parents immediately.

Sue's mother came first and called the ambulance. All were upset by Sue's unexpected accident.

Ambulance came in two minutes and took her to the hospital.

After the doctor examined her he told her that she should have an operation. She got an operation and her leg was in plaster now. Doctor adviced her not to move but just lay in bed and take her medicine.

All her friends were going to school except her.

. She was so unhappy that many nights cried secretly.
During her hard times all her friends thought how to help her feeling cheerful again. Every day her friends visited her at home and taught what they learnt at school. So that she could follow her lessons easily. Her friends were telling Sue what was happening outside and at school.

They were laughing together. They even brought Sue her favourite desserts and things.

But New Year was coming. All would celebrate the new year with a party at Mary 's house. They had decided for it even months ago. Sue also would go there if her leg wasn't broken and in plaster.

New Years Eve , Sue was resting in her bed with a deep sadness. Her parents were with her but she was feeling upset and alone.

All of a sudden, the doorbell rang. There was a noise coming downstairs. She wondered what was happening. Then her door was opened with full of laughs. They were her friends. They made a surprise for Sue. As she couldn't move they decided to celebrate New Years Eve at Sue's house.

We want to organize a surprise party for Sue!
Sure!
They first asked permission from Sue's mother for this surprise. After they got permission, they started preparations for the surprise. Mary prepared cookies for the party, Tom and Jack took the beverages. Sue's mother baked a huge cake with chocolate and strawberry which Sue liked the most. They also brought games with them. All night they had lots of fun. All were happy and cheerful again.

Sue told her friends how lucky she is to have such good and thoughtful friends. Friendship meant to be together even the hardest times.
It was the best New Years Eve for those good friends.

Outside the snowman was also smiling happily with Sue's scarf round its neck.
Happy New Year to all of you!

RESPONSIBILITY

Once upon a time there was a town called 'Clean Town'. People in this town, were all so kind and respectful one another.

GOOD MORNING!
GOOD MORNING!

But as time passed by they started to become lazy and rude to each other. Each day was the same , they were going to work in the morning and coming back home in the evening. All were in such a hurry that no one even greeted one another.Slowly they became strangers. They even became unkind and selfish.

There was rubbish everywhere in town. They even didn't notice the mess and dirt around them. Even if they realised they blamed others.

Day by day , the pollution increased. Their town became so dirty that they even couldn't walk in the street. The smell was so terrible that they couldn't open their windows and take a deep breath. No one took responsibility or any action against this situation. All ignored and didn't do anything. In fact, all were responsible from that mess and pollution.

In time, the town became so polluted that people started to call the Town as 'Dirty Town' instead of 'Clean Town'.
CLEAN TOWN

DIRTY TOWN

Mr. Brown, one of a neighbour in town decided to make a meeting with the whole neighbourhood.

He suggested to clean the town together but no one accepted and started arguing. Mr Brown made another suggestion and wanted all neighbours just to clean their front door and garden. After some objections, all agreed to clean his/her part.

After all neighbours cleaned their front door , they realized that everywhere is clean and neat. They noticed that if all took their responsibilities , everything would be fine. By this event, they understood their responsibilites to themselves and to one another.

The town was now again very clean and its people also very kind and friendly.
If everybody would take his/her responsibilities, the World would be a much better place.

„Everything will change in highschool”, they said. „Your friends will totally leave you. It’s just the way it is.”, people used to tell me. And altough I agree that most things are temporary, I’m a solid believer when it comes to the fact that some things just aren’t meant to change. That’s what real and authentic friendship is. A constancy. One of the very few aspects that doesn’t go away with just a snap of one’s fingers. So here you have it, this is what friendship means to me:

FRIENDSHIP by Ema Borca, 9th grade
The concept of friendship is, at its own root, incredibly debatable. You never know where it takes you or if it will just kick you out of the car on the way there. People are scared of it because it is, in fact, abstract. You can’t see it with those fancy glasses that Apple just put out, you can’t touch it with futuristic gloves. You just have to accept that it’s there and you have to believe in its minblowing power.

Teenagers tend to be paranoid about this subject and usually talk about it in a sore manner. They can’t and don’t want to believe that someone actually wants to hold their hand when they need to, because sometimes, isolation is the perfect place to revisit, so they just need a constant reminder that there are a lot or far better places than that one. That’s when you, the friend, jump in. You are the reminder. You give your love to someone while teaching them how to accept it. You show them how amazing it feels to feel a warm blanket of appreciation and support wrapped around their heart. And if you do that, you become everything one needs.

In conclusion, what do we know about friendship? What does it actually mean? Do we look it up in the Cambridge Dictionary or do we search for it deep inside our very own being? If you chose the second option, you are absolutely right. Remember to be commited, loyal and kind and to give love to the ones who surround you with it. But first of all, learn to love yourself. You must be your own bestfriend. Stay warmhearted, kids!

O PIMPÃO
Era uma vez
Once Upon a time
A monkey named Pimpão
who strolled in the woods and found an ant.
Ant was carrying a backpack with a loaf of bread.
He looked at the pimp and said to him: Do you want some bread?
The pimp that was very greedy said: YES! YES! YES!
Then the ant gave it a little and she ate too.
While they ate the little bread, they heard a little noise ...
was an exploration helicopter.
They were afraid to hide and found some very delicious and juicy berries.
When they ceased to hear noise, they decided to leave the hiding place, but soon they found the explorers. After all they were not bad and even gave them more food.

The explorers took the two friends to the jungle that was their habitat and so they could have more friends.
When they arrived in the jungle they had a surprise ...
They had many, many friends waiting .... Lions, leopard gators, etc.
The ant and the monkey again heard a noise and were filled with fear. They stopped and ....
After all it was the noise of the helicopter's propeller!
As they exited the helicopter, they jumped to the ground.
The ant carrying a backpack dropped a loaf of bread.
The pilot on the farm helped the ant blowing bread.
The ant and monkey, who were very dear, shared it with the other jungle animals.
When

They felt something falling on them. It was a net that held them. The net had fallen from the helicopter, after all the exploiters were hunters, who had made themselves good to pick up the animals and take them to the store to sell them. The helicopter began to pull the net up and the animals were afraid, they were too tight and afraid to fall from above, they were suspended in the air.
They crossed rivers, mountains and night came.
Suddenly the engine of the helicopter began to fail, began to run out of gas and began to fall and the net was trapped in a tree. The animals were very frightened and the lion as the king of the jungle sends and asked the ant to go ask the bear, the gorilla and the elephant for help because they were very strong and the ant set off.
But
The ant went to ask for help and the Bear bit the net and the Gorilla shook the tree and then they all fell. The Elephant smashed the net to release his friends.
They left and were happy and had a party.
When they were at the party, there was a surprise ...
The Elephant and the Gorilla offered gifts to all friends in the forest. They were musical instruments.
They formed a band of music with the various musical instruments: guitar, drums, viola, trumpet, piano and violin. And they made a concert.
The concert in the forest was very funny and fun!
Many animals were gathered because they heard the sound of the music. When they arrived at the concert they were amazed by the scenery that was decorated with various colors of the Rainbow and golden lights.
The Lion, the Lioness and the Leopard took to the party a very beautiful strawberry cake decorated with jungle animals. Ate the cake all contented.
The animals enjoyed the concert and invited the band to go and make a new concert elsewhere in the jungle.
When they were very amused they heard a very strange noise.
They went to see what was going on. It was the alligator Splashing in the river with great force.
He was very sad because he was not invited.

The animals felt sad heart and they were being a little bad for the Alligator.
They went to apologize and invited him to dance with them.
Jacaré was so happy that he taught them a very fun dance.
All the animals approached, picked a pair and began to dance.
Females with their hands on their waists, males clapping, three steps to the right, three steps to the left, one to the back and one to the front, and so they all danced together. The music stopped and the alligator disappeared from the wheel, because it was already sleepy.
The other animals after the party were eating. The lights went out and everyone went to their bed to lie down. That night, the hunters returned while the animals slept and took the alligator. They wanted to take him to the zoo so people could see him.

LOYALTY
On a very ordinary and somewhat boring Saturday morning, Jake and Shawn were playing basketball in the local park when a thunderstorm began. The kids started getting on their bikes when the wind started blowing at extreme speeds. Not very long after that, the storm started looking very strange. When Shawn saw the new and threatening shape, he realized that it was a tornado. Two minutes later, the wind started blowing from the direction opposite to them.
The kids tried to pass through it, but they couldn’t, so it knocked them over. After they regained consciousness, they quickly realized that the storm calmed down, but their bikes were nowhere to be seen. They tried to get up, but Jake couldn’t move his leg to get to safety. After that, Shawn decided to carry Jake to the nearest hospital instead of leaving him in the streets, only being concerned about his own safety. But no, Jake decided to stay loyal to his friend and help him in these times of need. Now THAT is a true friendship!
HONESTY
It was a normal day at school. Me and some of my friends were playing some football in the break between classes. Suddenly, a friend came with the ‘great’ idea of playing ‘Truth or Dare’. We all agreed to play, not knowing what will come next. Everything went well, until the one who asked the question or dared the person was Billy. When Greg chose to be dared, Billy dared him to hit the apple that was, somehow, standing on the roof of the school, with the ball that we played with before. We all told him to not do this, knowing he had the worst aim in the world, but Billy started to put pressure on him, calling Greg a ‘baby for not accepting his challenge’.
Before we could stop him, Greg took the ball and kicked it, hoping that it will actually hit the apple. Our hopes were shattered to pieces when we saw the ball entering an open window, hitting a teacher’s head instead. When the ball hit her head, Billy was rolling on the ground laughing, mocking Greg for his bad aim. We, including Greg, ignored him and rushed to the classroom to see how the teacher was. Another teacher who saw Greg throw the ball told us to go to the principal. There, after greeting us with a cup of tea, he asked Greg if he truly did cause the accident. He nodded in agreement, looking at Billy, who was waving at us with a smile on his face, making the principal understand the situation.
Then, he asked if Billy was the one who dared him to do something that involved the ball. He nodded again, describing the whole story, admitting that it was his fault the accident happened. After hearing the story, the principal told us to exit his office and congratulated Greg for his honesty, telling him that he is strong and brave kid, and advised him to not listen to other people that have bad intentions. The classes were suspended for the rest of the day because of the accident.
The next day, we found out that Billy tried to lie about the incident, but the principal did not believe him, expelling him from the school. After the classes ended, we went to the hospital where the teacher was hospitalized to apologize. She kindly accepted Greg’s apologies, telling him that what he said really shows that he is a kind and honest, hugging him after that.
