The life of Jack, a gangster that lived in England in 1651, took a sharp turn the day he decided to mess with the Williamson family.

The Williamson family was practically royalty. It was one of the wealthiest family in all England due to their connection with the Royal Family. Eleanor Williamson was the only daughter of Pierce Williamson, who was an important weapon provider.

Eleanor's wedding had been arranged since she was ten years old. Her parents wanted her to marry a friend of her father's who was also an important duke, but she had other intentions.

Shortly after the English Civil War ended, Jack and some of his mates wanted to cause some mischief and problems to well known families. They used to enter their houses and steal their guns and some valuable things. Then, they would go on raids and robberies around the town. They did this for some time until they broke into the Williamson's mansion. There, they were discovered by a servant that warned the staff. Before they knew it, they were being chased by guards through the mansion's walls.

Jack wasn't thinking straight, he only wanted to get out of there alive, suddenly, a hand pulled him from the group into a hidden door. He lost all the hope he had left, they had caught him and now they were going to kill him. When he looked up to meet his guards gaze, he realized it wasn't a guard, in fact, it was Mr. Williamson's daughter. She had saved him, and by the look on her face she wasn't going to turn him in. Her look wasn't an angry one, to his surprise it was an affectionate one.

Suddenly, a stern look crossed her face as if she was deciding between staying with him or going back to her room. Finally, without a word she strolled down the corridor leaving him really surprised.

The following days, Jack couldn't stop thinking about that mysterious girl, he kept wondering why she hadn't handed him to the guards and why after making the effort of saving him, she hadn't even talked to him. Those thoughts were driving Jack crazy, so he decided to return and visit the girl to get to know her.

The next day, he went to the mansion alone. He thought that he would drag less attention that way. But he was wrong, the guards recognized him and started chasing him. While he was running, he thought that maybe the girl would save him again, but this time she didn't show up and Jack was caught. They sent him to the dungeons, there he spent the night wondering why the girl hadn't saved him this time, he tried to convince himself that maybe the girl was busy. But deep inside, he was thinking that he was an idiot for trusting her. He had an uneasy and unpleasant sleep.

The next morning, he woke up because of the faint sound of footsteps. The footsteps stopped by his cell, he looked up, he couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing. The girl was standing in front of him, nervously fidgeting with the cell's keys. Once he was set free, the gir,l told him:

-You need to escape, and you mustn't return here. It's the best option for both of us.

Her voice was cracked, as if she was just about to cry.

-But I don't want to leave you here, not with these people. Come with me, we could be free, together.

-You don't understand, do you?

-What should I understand?

-I can't go with you, I can't just walk out of here, it's not that easy... I'm not going to be free like you, never.

-Why, who are you?

-I'm Mr. Williamson's daughter, I am Eleanor Williamson.

Jack couldn't believe it, all this time, he was in love with his enemy's daughter, the man who had him as a prisoner. But it didn't matter to him, because she had disobeyed her father, she had saved him not once but twice.

-Look, I don't know how much time left we've got, I just know that I may be in love with you, and I'm not going to waste an opportunity like this.

-What are you suggesting?

-I'm telling you that we should escape, we could go far away, we would be hidden from your family... It would be perfect.

-There is only one problem, my wedding is tomorrow.

-You don't have to worry about it, I will take care of it, see you tomorrow.

In the wedding everything was going well. People was mingling, chatting, laughing...

When the ceremony started, Eleanor was anxious because she didn't know what Jack was going to do.

Suddenly, the door of the ballroom opened abruptly and Jack entered.

-What are you doing here?-yelled the groom.

-I'm here because that woman doesn't love you, she loves me.

Everyone in the audience gasped. Meanwhile,Eleanor had run beside Jack and they were ready to leave. The duke, angry to see his wedding ruined, aimed a musket at Jack and shot. With his last breathe, Jack asked Eleanor:

-Could you please give me something to remember you?

Then Eleanor kissed him with all her passion and after that, Jack died.
