Once upon a time in a mountain called Anboto, a creature with a human body an a goat appearance was walking, his name was Akerbeltz. Suddenly he saw a female silhouette inside a cave. He approached slowly, and he could appreciate a beautiful woman. Her long brown hair matched perfectly with her honey-colored eyes. Akerbeltz wanted to talk to her but when he saw that she was looking at him he embarrassed and he went to get help from his friends the Galtzagorriz.

-Galtzagorriz!

The galtzagorris were playing in the trees when they heard the scream of Akerbeltz and they turned to see what was happening.

-What's up, Akerbeltz? -asked a galtzagorri.

-I have seen a very beautiful woman and I have fallen in love with her.

-And what's the problem with that?

-I don’t know her name and I don’t dare to speak to her -said Akerbeltz sadly.

-We will help you to conquer it, I think you mean Mari -said the Galtzagorri.

Akerbeltz smiled at them and thanked them. All the Galtzagorriz got together and started talking among themselves. Akerbeltz was confused. Suddenly the Galtzagorriz shouted happily:

-We have a plan! We have a plan!

-You can tell me? -asked Akerbeltz.

-Obvious, listen.

The Galtzagorriz began telling their plan, which was about writing a love letter to Mari, since he did not dare to speak to her face.

-It’s a good idea -said Akerbeltz.

He started writing the letter:

Dear Mari...

When he finished writing the letter he handed it to the Galtzagorris to be left in Mari's cave. Meanwhile, Mari was with her best friend Eguzki, talking about things.

Mari went to the bathroom, and then the Galtzagorris sneaked up to the cave and left the letter. Unintentionally, a Galtzagorri stumbled and made a lot of noise. When Eguzki heard the noise, she realized there was someone in the cave.

She approached to see what was happening, but when she arrived at the door there was nobody. There was only one envelope.

Eguzki opened it slowly and pulled out a letter. The letter was for Mari but Eguzki was curious and started reading it.

“Dear Mari,

Since I saw you my heart only beats for you. You are the girl of my eyes. You are beautiful as a rose. Would you like to stay with me one day? If so, I'll be tomorrow at five o'clock in the river of the swans.”

At that moment Mari leaves the bathroom and goes to where her friend Eguzki is.

- What happened? -asked Mari, who had heard the noise.

- Nothing, nothing. - Eguzki replied hiding the letter quickly.

And she went to the sofa. Mari did not suspect anything, and she was behind her. They started watching a movie. While, the galtzagorriz went to where Akerbeltz was, to celebrate that the plan had gone well.

The next day Akerbeltz woke up happily, because he was going to meet his beloved.

Meanwhile, Eguzki was in her house jealous of Mari. And suddenly an idea occurred to her. She was going to write a letter pretending to be Akerbeltz and telling her that he did not want her, to get angry with him.

Eguzki calls Mari and they stay in the morning at Mari's house, to talk like every day. Mari was in her living room waiting for Eguzki. While Eguzki was keeping the letter he had written in the mailbox.

- Mari, you have a letter in the mailbox. said Eguzki.

-I'm going now

Mari takes the letter out of the mailbox and started reading it. And she stays in shook when she saw what it puts.

Eguzki pretends to see surprised and asks her: -What's wrong?

Mari shows her the letter and Eguzki reads it as if she doesn´ t know nothing.

“It's getting late”

Akerbeltz is in the lake of swans and is nervous, with a red rose in his hand.

The hours passed and Mari did not appear. Akerbeltz was increasingly desperate. He thought Mari would never show up. And he started crying. At that time Eguzki was taking a walk through the forest and found Akerbeltz. When she saw him crying she felt bad for what she had done. So she decided to give the true letter to Mari and tell her the whole truth, even if that meant losing his friendship. She went quickly to Mari's house and found her on the sofa taking a nap and she wake her up.

-Mari wake up! Wake up! -said Eguzki.

- What happened? What have you done?

- You know that yesterday a letter arrived...

- Yes...  You were there when I read it. What happens with the letter?

- Well ... the letter was not written by Akerbeltz ... it was me.

- You do not have to protect him, if he have written it, that's his problem.

- No, but it's true, I wrote it. The letter he wrote is this.

Eguzki took out the letter and gave it to Mari. Mari had it and started reading it.

Dear Mari

When she finished she did not know what to do that letter had broken all her schemes.

They were silent for several minutes. Each time it was more uncomfortable and Eguzki decided to talk.

- Sorry.

- But why did you do that?

- I don´ t know, well I know why, I was jealous that you had a boyfriend and also I didn´t want

to lose you.

- Well doing that you have achieved the opposite.

- I understand you're angry, but this time listen to me. You should go to where is Akerbeltz. I have seen him crying in the woods beside the swan lake.

Mari got up and started running towards the lake. When she arrived she saw that he was not there, there were only six galtzagorriz and she asked them if they had seen Akerbeltz.

- Yes, he is crying in that tree.

- Thanks.

Mari ran to the tree where Akerbeltz was. When she arrived she saw him sitting with his face covered by his hands and sobbing. Mari did not know what to do, she felt bad for not thinking that Akerbeltz was a bad person. She approached him and sat next to him.

- Hi, Akerbeltz. I'm so sorry for being late. My "friend" hid the letter you gave me and gave me a letter that she had written saying bad things about me because I was jealous. But I've already read the real one. I would like us to know each other more. If it seems good we can stay and we will decide if we will behave in boyfriends. How about?

- Seriously? - Akerbeltz said with tears in his eyes but happy.

- Yes, said Mari smiling. So, what do you say?

- Obviously yes.

After that, Mari and Akerbeltz started dating and they were very happy together, and they ended up getting married.

Mari though it cost her time, she forgive Eguzki. And they ended up becoming friends.

Eguzki started talking to a villager and they ended up falling in love.

The galtzagorriz organized the wedding between Mari and Akerbeltz
