Once upon a time one couple called Basajaun and Basandere lived in a cave of the Gorbea mountain. Basajaun was a big man with hair in all his body. Basajaun was the protector of all the sheep and flocks of whole zone of Gorbea.

Basajaun had a wife called Basandere. Basandere was a bid woman with long hair. Basandere, while Basajaun was at work she used to brush her hair with a gold brush. Basajaun, always when he watched shepherds or wolves, he shouted to warn the sheeps but one day, Basajaun ran to warn the sheep but all the flocks weren't there.

-Where are my sheep? Who has my sheep?-asked the Basajaun.

Basajaun was very confused and very sad because he didn't know why someone had stolen his flock.

The next day, Basajaun, while he was walking around Gorbea, he saw little people running through the grass.

-Who are those people? Have my sheep been stolen?- Basajaun ran to them to see who were that little humans.

-What are your names?-asked Basajaun,

-We are the galtzagorris.-answered one of the little people.

-Have you stolen my sheep?-asked Basajaun.

-No, we haven't stolen them, we moved them because we saw a group of wolves. The sheep are in a cave 1km to the south, but the cave is protected with a magical spell and you can't enter there.- answered the other Galtzagorri.

-Can you tell me how to enter the cave?-asked Basajaun.

-No, we can't say how to enter, only a galtzagorris can enter- answered the galtzagorris. -The sheep will be here tomorrow, but if you try to search them, you won't see them never. The next week we will give you your sheep, but if you try to find them we will kill them.

-Are the sheep fine?-asked Basajaun- I have to know if they are alive.

-They are all fine and alive.

Basajaun returned to his house, and told what happened to Basandere.

The next day, Basajaun was nervous and worried because he couldn't go to take care of the sheep.

Basajaun thought that the galtzagorri's were lying, and the cave wasn't protected with a magical spell, and he went to find the cave. He found the cave, but when he was going into the cave, something invisible was there and he can't enter. It was at that moment, when he knew that the galtzagorri's weren't lying and Basajaun returned to his house crying and very upset.

In the afternoon, the galtzagorri's went to his house and told him that he hadn't fill filled the promise and because of that, the galtzagorri's only give him the half of the sheep. When they told that to Basajaun, he felt very happy and excited.

-Thank you, now I'm very happy, because I love my sheep and I couldn't live without them.-said Basajaun.

Suddenly, Basandere appeared.

-Why are you so happy?-asked Basandere.

-I'm so happy because the galtzagorri's have returned me the half of the sheep.-answered Basajaun.-Now I will care the sheep better than before, because I feel upset when I don't look after them..

Finally, Basajaun bought more sheep and was very happy doing that and Basandere help him when Basajaun was very busy. After that, they lived very happy.
