What is "Towel Day"?

It's a tribute to the author Douglas Adams, who wrote the "Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy".

Why choose something so insignificant as a towel?

Towels are

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!

"They have great practical value and immense psychological value."

"A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have."

For Example...

*You can:

*wrap it around you for warmth

*use it to sail a miniraft down the river

* wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat

*wave your towel as a distress signal

*dry yourself if it is still clean enough

AND...

If you have a towel, everyone will think that ... "any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is... "

"... is clearly a man to be reckoned with."

So how do you celebrate "Towel Day"?

First of all, take a towel with you everywhere. You can place it on your shoulder.
