UNESCO member states adopted the Declaration of Tolerance Principles on November 16, 1995 and declared this day as International Day of Tolerance.
International Day of Tolerance emphasizes that all cultures, ways of expression and ways of world should be respected.
According to the Declaration of Tolerance Principles, tolerance is not only a moral duty, it also requires political and legal practices that must be adopted by individual, social and states.
