“In my school bag” e-book Activity Evaluation Report

During this project our students have been working on the topics: colours, classroom objects and numbers. Now it is time to analyze the result. We used this e-book as an evaluation part to show what our students have learnt. First, their task was to draw a certain number of classroom objects and colour them. Since most of our students are visual learners, this was a suitable activity for them. We put all their drawings in a “bag” and asked them to name all those objects. Thus their second activity was to record themselves naming the number, the colour and the classroom objects in the “bag”. We chose one of their recordings and put it at the last page of our story. Other recordings are shared in a padlet which is also the part of this book. With this second activity we wanted to approach our auditory learners. By combining these two learning styles, we wanted their learning to become more permanent. Not only that our students improved their speaking skills while working on this e-book, but they also had the opportunity to listen to their partners from Europe speaking English too. By this way they practiced their listening skills, had the opportunity to actively use the language they learn and it was highly motivating for them.  It is great to see their improvement with this task.
