Hi I'm Andre! I am in 4th grade 

at Ringing Rocks.   I want to be 

a fire fighter when I grow up.  

I want to be a fire fighter 

because I like to help people.   I 

love to read.   I play the drums 

in band. I also love playing 

soccer.   I play defense.     

I have a sister, a mom, and a dad.   My 

sister's name is Sam.   She is in 

kindergarten.   My parents' names are 

Jeannette and Roger.   My family is very 

kind.   They love to watch me play my 

drums.   My family and I like reading 

together.   Our favorite book is "Diary of 

a Wimpy Kid."  

Today on the playground, I 

was swinging on the swings 

with Bobby.   Bobby is a boy in 

my class who sits behind me. 

He pushed me off the swings 

and started calling me names.  

Bobby is a bully!

He called me names for no 

reason.   I got really upset and 

ran to the recess aide.   She 

told me not to worry and she 

would take care of Bobby.   The 

aide told Bobby that he 

couldn't be mean to people.  

Being mean hurts peoples' 

feelings.

Aide: Bobby do you know why I called you 

over here?

Bobby: No.

Aide: Are you sure?

Bobby: Uhh.... I keep calling Andre mean 

names.   And I pushed him off the swings.

Aide: Yes Bobby.   Being mean to people 

hurts their feelings.   It is not nice to be 

mean to people!

Bobby: Miss, I promise that I will stop.

Aide: Thank you, Bobby.  

Then Bobby Apologizes to Andre.  

Bobby: Andre I'm sorry.   Please forgive 

me.   I promise to stop being mean.  

Andre: Thank you, Bobby.  

When I got home I told my mom about 

Bobby.   I said how he pushed me and 

eventually apologized.   She was 

thankful that he apologized.  

Then she helped me with my 

homework.   Next she cooked my 

traditional German meal, potatoes and 

meatloaf.   It was GREAT!

The other day my sister, Sam, 

and I got into an argument 

over the Xbox.   We only have 1 

controller and both of us 

wanted to play Mario Kart.  

Sam called for mommy and 

she came into the room.   She 

asked Sam what was wrong.  

And Sam told her while I 

waited patiently to speak.  

Then she asked me to explain.

I told her that Sam and I 

wanted to play on the Xbox 

and we only had one controller.  

But I was here first so I should 

be the one playing.

My mom came up with a great 

idea that we could both take 

turns.   We really liked the idea. 

That way everyone would get a 

fair amount of time on the 

Xbox. Taking turns is really 

fun.
