This is the Diary of Ton Maio, the Portuguese mascot and his diary about the experience lived in Asturias, Spain Hranice, Czech Republic and Zagreb, Croatia.
Sunday, January 12th 2020
Dear diary,
Hello! My name is Tone Maio and I am in Spain! More specifically in Asturias, Rijon.
Today was a tiring day because it was the day of travel.
In the morning I woke up very early to go to the airport. When I got there, everyone was
waiting for me. Then we took some pictures and went on... but the trip was not as I expected,
they forgot about me. But luckily the teachers saw me, if I wasn't already here to tell the story.
After 2 planes we arrived at the school and all went with their families, except me who stayed
with the teachers.

Monday, January 13th 2020
Dear diary,
Today, in the morning, we played games to know each other a little bit better. I met the other dolls, the Croatia’s doll (Tvrtko), the Spain’s doll (Covadonga) and the Czech Republic’s doll (Pepina). The colours and the personality made me fall in love.
They were very friendly to me and we played for a long time. After the games, we made a school tour. We made a school tour and the Spanish students showed us their classrooms and activities.
I was amazed!: “The school is enormous!”, I was fascinated with the building , it is the biggest school that I have ever seen. Then we played cooperation games, with my new friends. They were really good at the games and we all have fun together.
At lunchtime, we ate all together. The food was fantastic, I’ve never ate those foods, but I really like them!. After lunch we went to the art’s room to the robotix workshop. The teachers explained us what we would do:
basically we had to cooperate and build a Lego’s construction. We have all cooperated and created a house... we are not very good at that, but we tried and did something not bad. And that’s all dear diary, I’ve loved the first day with my new friends! Looking forward for tomorrow!
Tuesday, January 14th 2020
Dear diary,
Today, in the morning, I went to school with the teachers and when we arrived there we went to the classroom. We did an activity inside the classroom and then we went for a snack to go to the bus. Oh I didn't even tell you where we were going! Our destination was a farm. We got on the bus and when we got there we were greeted by the guides who were very nice by the way. We saw many animals like cows, goats, pigs, a peacock, etc.
Wednesday, January 15th 2020
Dear diary,
Today I woke up with the feeling that this day was going to be fantastic, and so it was! So this morning I went to visit Oviedo, what a fantastic place with so many colors and monuments. After a few walks,I found Oviedo Cathedral, a beautiful and well-designed building and well i went through the beautiful streets of Oviedo and visited the market in Oviedo called El Fontán, the most sold items were fish, cheese and meat.
As I passed through its streets, more and more statues of people appear ... this city is very artistic and beautiful to visit. I was very happy and grateful to have the chance to visit it.Looking forward for tomorrow!
Thursday, January 16th 2020
Dear diary,
Today, I woke up and started the day very happy because I was going on a trip . When I got there, it was a cheese factory and near that there was a cider house. First I go to the cheese factory and I could see how the cheese was produced and can taste a bit of it, after that I go to the cider house and I drank a little bit but it tasted terrible maybe if I try later with more age I can like it because it's an alcoholic drink.
After that I go with my friends to the school and we go lunch (I was starving).
After we ate we went outside and play.
When my teachers called us we went inside for more project activities. The bell made sound for the last time in that day and I knew that it was time to go home. This was my thursday I hope I can stay more days in here

MEETING IN HRANICE, Czech Republic
After 2 years delaying our meetings because of Covid Pandemic, Ton Maio could finally meet his friends!
