The Little Prince was very upset. Nobody could find a cure for the corona virus.

Little Prince: There must be a solution

Rose "What does COVID-19 look like?" 

"COVID-19 or corona virus is too small for us to see." said the little prince

“It is transmitted by sick people through their coughs, sneezes, and by touching people or things around them. 

Sick people have a fever, cough, and sometimes while breathing they are struggling. "

"So can't we fight it because we can't see?" he asked. "We can fight it." said the little prince.

“That's why I need you. The virus affects all kinds of people, and anyone can help us fight it. Children are special and they can help too.

The Little Prince wasn't feeling well when he was lying in his bed that night.

The Little Prince stayed  home because of the virus. Surfing on the internet, he met an astronomer.

The astronomer said to him:- "Nobody considers me and true Science, because people prefers believing in fake news, in false figures and so on….what can I do????-"

The Little Prince suggested him: "Tell them that they need masks worn properly to protect themselves and the others, so that the virus can be defeated and disappear at last!" 

Due to connection problems, the Little Prince couldn’t understand what the astronomer replied.

Once finished the video call with the astronomer, the Little Prince switched off his computer, stood up and found himself looking at the sunset.

He felt lonely and sad for what was happening in the Universe and because he couldn't communicate closely with his new friend, the astronomer: he couldn’t meet him, touch him, smell him, or even simply shake his hand.

  At the sight of the beautiful sunset, he thought: -                  "When you are so sad, you cannot help loving      sunsets!"-.The Little Prince sat on his chair, thinking about how to recover quickly and help to free mankind from Coronavirus as soon as possible.

They had been talking to Rose all night, and they kept turning in their head. There must have been a way to combat COVID-19 and the Little Prince "If this disease is transmitted from people to each other, then     people should have stayed a little apart from each other during this process " he thought.

       The Little Prince is the only one of this disease, even in rudeness.  He was very upset about this situation, thinking that it would make people very lonely.

The Little Prince was angry at this little virus that separated people from each other. His goal was to keep the values he had as a child in order to be a real person. However, people were becoming incapable of experiencing any value alone.

It was as if people were being condemned to loneliness. An invisible power left all people alone, without friends...

While he was thinking that if the way to destroy or neutralize Covid-19 is not found as soon as possible, humanity may disappear, he thought of Nobel Prize winner Dr. Ugü Şahin. He should have contacted him immediately. He was a generous scientist who would do everything he could for mankind.

The Little Prince prepared lots of questions to ask to the doctor about Covid-19. He wanted to learn the most effective solution to this virus.  The doctor insisted on staying away from all people around and suggested him to live alone for a while.

"But" said the Little Prince,"It is impossible. I'm a child and all the children in the world want to play with their friends outside."

"No" said the doctor."You should be careful, this virus is very serious."

"What about finding a vaccine against this virus?"  asked the Little Prince. "Could you find it and help us?"

The Little Prince was not aware of the difficulties of producing a vaccine. Doctors and scientists would need some time, maybe some years to find a safe vaccination. 

"Trust me Little Prince, I will do my best and find a solution. You have my word. Now go and rest, let me search for it."said the doctor. He was a real doctor and the Little Prince trusted him.

Time passed and people got sick ... 

Meanwhile, scientists all over the world worked hard to find a vaccine. 

The Little Prince, seeing what was happening around him, sadly thought back to when he could freely explore the universe, passing from one planet to another. 

"How can such a small virus, which can reach a maximum length of one thousandth of a millimeter, cause so much damage?" he thought. "How different our life was before the spread of the virus ... We could explore, know and meet many people ... We had a precious gift, FREEDOM, and we didn't know 

it ...".

Suddenly the Little Prince saw a ladybug in the grass. 

She, seeing him so sad, said in a solemn tone: 

"The insects and the birds are safe but you human beings must make sacrifices if you want to save your wonderful world". 

"Sacrifices? And which ones?" said the Little Prince. "You have to follow simple rules: wear a mask, wash and sanitize your hands but above all stay away from people until scientists have found the right cure, namely the vaccine". "These rules are simple! I will report to humans as soon as I arrive on Earth"

"Thank you for your precious advice and for teaching me the true meaning of the word FRIENDSHIP! The true friend is the one who knows how to listen, comfort and support you in difficulties, like you did with me. You showed me that you, so little, can be wiser than human beings ... I understand that you can only see well with the heart because the essential is invisible to the eyes!"

The Little Prince the Fox and what the Rose represented to him during the pandemic"

A short interpretation of the real story by IES Cuenca del Nalón students

When The Little Prince befriends the Fox, he learns that the important things in life are visible only to the heart.

Now, at Covid 19 times, the Little Prince misses his rose and realizes that his rose represents everything he has had to be apart from because of the pandemic: his friends, his family, his schoolmates, his long walks taking care of his planet Asteroid 325... 

Being away from them all makes all these people and things even more special to him. He also realizes that love makes us responsible for everything we love and that is why he takes care of his planet and why people at virus times take care of each other.

Love makes us want to take care of all the beings and things that we appreciate because they are unique to us.

All these thoughts make him

feel very lonely because he had 

been so far away from his 

beloved ones represented 

by the rose.

During confinement, he experienced

a great feeling of love and friendship

and an urgent need to go back to normal and spend time and great moments again with everyone and everything that filled his heart with the joy of experiencing love and affection.
