What is StoryJumper?
StoryJumper is a site that gives parents, kids, and authors a fun set of
intuitive tools for writing and illustrating kids stories. Our goal is
to inspire anyone that's ever wanted to write a kids story to get
started!
Who is StoryJumper for?
All kids, ages 1 to 92.
How does it work?
It's easy -- just click on the "create" button and choose the type of
story you want to make. From there, you'll be taken into our
StoryCreator tool and on your way. Click away -- there's nothing you can
break here! You can also watch a short video that demonstrates how the
tools work, here. If you'd rather find stories to read, just click the
"Explore" button at the top of the page and browse stories selected by
our editorial staff.
Is it educational?
Yes. While the activity of reading stories is an educational goal in
itself, we believe kids should also experience the joy of creative
process, as well. Story-telling requires focus and concentration, and
our product is designed to enable kids to attain a state of creative
'flow' as easily as possible, and without disruption from distracting
elements such as overly complex tools or intrusive advertising. Spend

How much does it cost?
Our StoryCreator is free to use, and gives everyone access to our
basic art libraries for story creation, online sharing, and book
publishing. You can order your books as professionally published
hardbound volumes starting from $24.95.
Is it safe? How do you protect children?
StoryJumper enforces the highest level of information and identity
protection possible for all of our visitors, and fully complies with
Federal regulations for protecting the privacy of children under age 13.

What about advertising?
There is no advertising of any kind on the StoryJumper site.
Can I use my own photos?
Yes, you can upload photos to use as background "scenes" or use our
cropping tool to make fun face graphics that can be mixed with our
character art.
Can I use my own graphic art?
At this time, the graphic art library ("prop" library) is limited to
StoryJumper's own collection. However, you are welcome to scan any
hand-drawn pictures on to your computer, and upload these as photo
"backgrounds" for your stories.
Who owns the copyright to the stories?
The user owns the copyright any original story text created or photos
added on the site, while StoryJumper retains full ownership of our
proprietary art libraries and collateral. Additionally, the user grants
StoryJumper a royalty-free, perpetual license to disseminate any
publicly shared stories through our website and associated promotional
materials (e.g. site widgets and players on third party websites.) Read

StoryJumper is a great way for teachers to jump start Creative Writing
lesson plans:

We realize how intimidating a blank canvas can be. To that end, we've
created several story templates that give students suggestions and
ideas to get their mental gears turning. Just click on the "Create"
button and you'll see what we mean.
- Rich, colorful art library
Our art library is stocked with thousands of full-color props and
scenes, including everything from simple shapes to complex
mythological animals and characters. Kids can mix and match scenes,
and share with stories with one another via email or on the website.
- Flexible platform
Your students can also draw their own pictures by hand, and then scan
and upload them to their own story. You can also compile the pictures
yourself for a class compilation. The completed stories can be shared
for free online, or ordered as books (coming soon!). What better way
to remember a class outing or field trip? You can also create a
Treasure Map,
re-tell an old classic,
teach kids about the environment,..

Can I mix photos and artwork together?
Yes. StoryJumper supports mixing artwork, photos and text however you
like. Whatever you see on the screen is how your book will appear.
Can I upload my child's drawings?
Yes. Just upload your child's illustrations as photos using the
"photos" tab in the StoryCreator
I just placed an order and found a mistake. Can I fix it?
Please contact us at support@storyjumper.com as quickly as possible
and we'll put a hold on our order. Please include your user name and
the title of your book.
Are shipping prices included in the order?
Shipping and handling are calculated at the time of checkout. We
strive to offer you the inexpensive, yet efficient options available
for delivery through FedEx and the US Postal Service.
Do you offer a volume discount for teachers?
Yes! For classroom orders of 15 books or more, please contact us at
support@storyjumper.com
How long will it take to receive my books?
Publishing and shipping generally takes 10 business days from the time
of purchase.
What is your return policy?
StoryJumper will gladly replace any book that has defects introduced
during the printing and binding process. Because books are
customized, however, please note that we cannot accept returns for
items that contain spelling, grammar, or other errors introduced

How long does International Shipping take?
Shipping to Europe and Asia takes approximately 15 business days (3 weeks) while shipping to Australia and New Zealand takes approximately 20 business days (4 weeks).
