orchid roots, 

helping the 

plant to absorb 

water and 

minerals.

Orchids obtain 

their 

Nourishment 

from the air, 

rain, or 

moisture in the 

soil. 

Orchid plants can live to be up to One 

hundred years. 

The outside of the orchid flower is called 

Petals.
