Helen Fulton was born on August 15, 1922. She was born in Lamar Colorado.
Her father was shot and killed by her Uncle in a hunting accident when she was only 3 months old.
2
Helen had 2 older sisters. Her mom eventually remarried so she had 2 step-brothers and 1 step-sister. Her mom had 5 kids with her new husband. All together, Helen had 10 siblings.
3
Throughout highschool, Helen had 2 very close friends. She is the only one still alive.
She had a friend that she would write to and talked on the phone. She moved to Denver to be with her kids. Helen sent her a letter and one day she got the same letter back and hasn't heard from her since.
4
When growing up, Helens role model was her neighbor. She was much older than Helen so she was like another Mother to her.
5
Helen graduated from High School at the age of 17. She began teaching right after she graduated and taught for 5 years.
6
When she was 17, she met Curtis Fulton.
She just got done shopping at the grocery store and forgot something she needed so she handed all of her stuff to Curtis, who she had never met before, while she went back in to get what she forgot.

7
Helen and Curtis started going on dates and eventually got married and started a family.
They had 2 kids together; a boy and a girl. Their names were Jeanna and Dennis.
8
After having kids, they moved to a farm and Helen was a stay-at-home mom and worked on the Farm.
She stayed involved in the community with Womans groups and Christian groups.

9
Helen did not start to feel old until her daughter turned 60 years old; it was traumatic for Helen.
10
Curtis Fulton was diabetic so he had to watch what he ate and had to make sure he was taking care of his body.
One night at dinner, he decided to eat a slice of Peanut Butter Pie. Helen could tell something wasn't right with him. They called the ambulance and by the time they got there, Curtis was already dead.
This was December 12, 2012.
Rest In Peace, Curtis.

11
Curtis was a priest so they moved around a lot to different churches. After they retired, he was still accepting jobs at churches. 16 years after retirement, they finally decided to stop.
After that, they would go down to Texas every winter to be a priest at a church. Helen was a big part of this.
12
After the 10th year of going down to Texas, they sold their little house in Texas and decided that was going to be the last time they went.
When they got back, they moved into Eaglecrest.
Curtis passed away after only living there for 2 years.
Helen has lived there for 6 years now.
13
According to Helen, the secret to a happy marriage is to realize that you can't always be right. There are going to be times when you are wrong and that's okay. You also need to be willing to apologize, even when you don't want to or you don't think you have a reason to apologize. It also makes the marriage easier when you both enjoy the same things.
14
Helen thinks retirement has been a good experience for her. She still got to be a part of the Church after she retired and she enjoyed that.
15
One of the many things she enjoys about being at Eaglecrest is that she gets to pick and choose what she does. She can stay in bed later now than she did when she lived at home.
She doesn't have to worry about getting up to go to work.
Helen is and always has been very active.
She walks approximately a mile everyday around the pond and the entire building.
16
Helen loves that people can depend on her to help them do stuff around Eaglecrest. She is always available to help anyone and that's how she wants to be remembered.
17
"Don't put it off until tomorrow if you can do it today" is a quote that Helen has always lived by.
18
Helen loves the technology in todays world. Although she got hacked on Facebook, she wouldn't have it any other way. She watches her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up through the internet.

19
A major value that Helen has followed is that Jesus is a big part of her life and he has always been the answer for her.
20
Her proudest moment was when she held her first baby in her hands for the first time ever.
21
Helen thinks the most important advice she can give to teenagers is to turn life over to Christ, don't follow the crowd, listen to your parents, and seek out relyable friends that have goals.
