The cell is a tiny particle that makes up everything in life.

There are lots of different
parts of a cell to help it
work!

Hey Bob, the king of cells!

What can you share about cells?

Well Fred, I know a lot about cells and will tell you all about them!
Just follow me on this adventure.

This is a cell wall. It protects, supports and helps a plant cell
keep its shape!

I'm safe!
The cell wallprotects the cell
from danger.

That's very interesting! Hey Bob, I've heard
so much about cytoplasm.
Can you tell me
what is so
cool about it?I'm so glad you asked, Fred!
Cytoplasm is like jelly.
It fills in the space
between things in a cell.

What is inside the cell that needs protection?
There are lots of things in
a cell that need protection!

Chloroplast is why plants are green and
live. Chloroplast use sunlight to make food.
This system is called photosynthesis. This
is chloroplast below.

Oh, now i get it!

Is there anything else you would like Is there anything else
you would like to share
about cells?

Oh yes! There is a so much
more to learn!

Cells need to divide sothey can have more cells.
Centrioles help the cell divide.

Another cool thing about cells are Lysosomes. Lysosomes
break down material in cells.

Chromosomes are
single strands of your
DNA. During cell
division, the
chromosomes get
doubled so the new cell
can have the same
amount of DNA.

A bean like shape thatconverts sugar to energy (ATP)
so we can have fun and play
is called a Mitochondrion.
Ribosomes are a very small part of the cell. It's job is to make proteins.

Here's a hard one for you! A cell needs to send things
to other cells or to different
parts in a cell. This is called
the Endoplasmic Reticulum.
That's Really cool! I am
learning so much Bob!
Tell me more!
