I grew up living on a farm. There was always something to do. Animals to take care of including; pigs, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, dogs and cats. Cleaning the house was always something we could do.
What were some difficulties growing up?






My nickname was 'rabbit'. I don't know why they called me rabbit. My brothers always have.
What was your nickname growing up?

Who was your best friend growing up?
My best friends growing up were my older sisters




What was high school like?
In my high school years were quite disturbing. I've dealt with a lot of peer pressure. There was a lot of emphasis was put on clothes; and because I did not have many clothes, I was not in the 'in' crowd.
Racism in school?

Racism was not a problem in school at the time.

School was just like it was today.
How old were you when you got married?
I was 17 when I got married. I have sworn that if any of my children or grandchildren tried to marry at that age, I probably would pulverize them
When did you find out you were a parent for the first time
I found out when I was going to be called mom by going to the doctor

What did you do to get in trouble?
Negected to do my chores. One time, I went outside and dug for worms instead of doing the dishes.
Any funny stories growing up?
When I was 10-12 years old, I had a pet pig named Oscar. Oscar grew to be very large, often times he would come into the house and hide under the dining table, my mother would chase him out with the broom
Where would you like to go for vacation?
I would love to go see the Yellow Stone National Park

How many siblings do you have?
I have eight siblings. Their names are Jack, Mary, Paul, Cylene, Richard, Roberta, Josephine, and Max
What is your proudest moment?
My proudest moment that I have was growing up and able to respect my elders
What is your biggest regret?
My biggest regret that I have is not saying thank you enough
What is your advice to teens today?
I would have to say that you must learn to work to the best of your ability to accomplish what you hope to do.
