Horses and donkeys have long faces. Horse faces are a little longer. Their foreheads are different. Horses have a narrower forehead than donkeys. Horse eyes are smaller than donkey eyes.

Both donkeys and horses have tails. Horses have long, flowy tails. Donkeys have more bristly hairs on their tails. The upper part of a donkey's tail has very little hair and the bottom has lots of hair. A horse has hair all over its tail.

Both horses and donkeys eat grasses. Horses are grazers and eat 18-20 hours a day. Donkeys are browsers and eat a little bit, take a break, eat a little, take a break throughout the day. They are both prey animals which means that other animals eat them, like wolves.

Whenever horses sense danger, they run away. Donkeys may run away a little bit, look back and think if there is danger or not.
