Far away in the African lands on the hot sunny days, lived a small lion who didn´t fit in, and his name was Leo.

Now lions are strong, but Leo wanted to love everybody and play with his friends all day long.

´´You worry me, Leo, my little lion´´ His mom started saying one day. ´´You´ll never survive in the animal world, if you don´t learn to hunt for your food´´.

´´But, mommy´´, said Leo, worried, ´´I don't think I quite understand. I know that most lions like to eat meat, but I want to live off of the land´´.

´´´ It´s your turn to decide, but if you insist that you´re not going to hunt, there´ is no place for you here´´.

´´When I’m close to a zebra a funny thought goes through my head. Instead of eat him , I’d prefer hug him instead.´´

That evening while Leo was sleeping, he woke up and he could see a lot of antelopes running very fast.

Poor Leo went to the jungle, but he hoped that with love in his heart, he would learn how to survive in the animal world. But at the beginning he didn't know how to start. 

Some leopards were folowing them. Leo thought quickly and said, ´´I must help them!´´ he cried. ´´ Yes, I must.

Then he cared about the hurt ones, who couldn’t go with the group. The leopards would eat them!!!

Leo led them away to save them and gave them some food to eat. He took care of them. Then, they became strong and go away.

The baby antelopes kissed Leo and told him “We´ll never forget that you saved our lives, thank you!”

Leo was very excited, he had a big smile. “It´s funny making friends in the jungle” he said. Then he sat down and fall asleep. 

Since that day, Leo decided to help all animals. He helped some little hippos that were lost and taught some birds  how to fly.
