In Spain, we have a lot of superstitions related to 1st November. On that day we celebrate All Saints Day in honour of all the saints, known and unknown.

Some of these superstitions are:

• Black cat: if a black cat crosses your path you will be unlucky this day.
• Fingers crossed: you must cross your fingers to get bad luck away.
• Broken mirror: if you break a mirror in your house , you will be unlucky till you clean it well.
• Go under a ladder: you must go round a ladder, never under it!.
