This story was written and illustrated in March 2018 as an EFL creative writing project by class F3 (11-12 yo) of 6th Primary School of Polichni, Thessaloniki, Greece.

It was a cold night of February.
As I was lying in bed, I saw a bright light out of the window. I ran to see where it came from. I opened the door of my house and rushed out in the garden. I started searching but I couldn't find anything. Suddenly, a shadow crept by.
"Who is there?" I asked.
"Hey, you!" I heard a squeaky voice. I turned around and, to my surprise, I saw a smiley green alien looking at me with big eyes, wiggling his antennas.
"I'm ST3. I come from planet Omega." he said. "I came to Earth to do a school project about your civilization. You seem to be kind of primitive... I don't think there is much to see here... Can you help me, please?"
Don't judge a book by its cover" I replied. "Take me with you in your spaceship and I will show you some of the world's greatest monuments!"
We got on board and took off.
First, we visited the White Tower, the landmark of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece.
"It hosts an exhibition about the history of our city from ancient to modern times" I informed him.
Then we flew to New York City and saw the Statue of Liberty. "It symbolises freedom" I explained.
Soon we headed for London.
"This is the Big Ben. The British love it because they say time is money!" I said.
After that, we visited the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
"It shows how progressive the French are!" I exclaimed.
"Look at these beautiful colours!" I exclaimed as I was showing him the Kremlin in Moscow. "This site also forms part of UNESCO's World Heritage."
Then it was the Colosseum's turn. "It is a symbol of Roman power" I said.
Soon we were back home. "Thank you very much for your help"said ST3. "Now I know every place on every planet has its own beauty and meaning. I hope we will meet again one day."
We waved goodbye and he disappeared in space.
Some days later I found this picture on my desk...
