Once upon a time, a small, vicious  and clever squirrel lived in the Park called Solanki in Inowrocław in Poland. He had a great desire: to travel all over the world , meet some other animals , make some new friends.

One day, he made the decision to travel far away, so that he could get to learn about other places. He decided to make his dream come true.

A big, soft, white cloud passing by at this very time heard his wish and thought that he could use some extra help. So, Mr. Cloud let the squirrel climb onto his back. 

Mr Cloud, will you take me with you? I want to get to know the world!!!

It was quite a long trip, so, he fell asleep. The cloud travelled in the sky for several hours. Suddenly, the bright sun woke him up.  

The globetrotter squirrel began his journey.

For the first time in his life, he saw such a sunny country. This country was surrounded by sea. The cloud said it was the Aegean sεα.

Late in the afternoon they went to see the Metal Umbrellas (made by a Greek artist) along the seaside.

The globetrotter squirrel was more than satisfied. He saw a little village, named Kavalari, located near a big city, called Thessaloniki.  

There were many animals near the river. He came down and went near them.

 A big proud horse came and introduced himself. He was named Pegasus.

 Soon afterwards, they became friends and their guided tour began. 

The squirrel jumped onto Pegasus's back and together they flew over Thessaloniki. 

They saw the famous White Tower (in the past, it was a jail)

They clibe on the historic byzantine Castle. They could see the most beautiful view of the town.

They went to the coastline for a walk. Over there they saw the statue in honour of Alexander the Great, who was the most famous Macedonian king.  He's riding his horse Voukefala.

After spending hours seeing the local sights, one thing stood out in his mind the most! That was the Greek flag waving. It had 9 alternate stripes , blue and white, and a cross in its top left corner.

In the evening they were so tired and very hungry.

Do you want to taste some traditional local food? There is a greek restaurant over there. We can eat fasolada, mousaka, tsatsiki, greek salad and we can also drink ouzo. At the end we could have a dessert named baclava!!!

That's a lovely idea!!!!! Let's go!!!

Farewell Thessaloniki!!!! I have to continue my trip!!!!

After a long trip, the globetrotter Squirrel arrived in Sant Celoni, a town nearby Barcelona, in Spain. He was very bored, so he decided to go to the cinema and watch a movie.

He didn't know what to see, but suddenly he made a decision.

Now I know which movie I want to see!!

Oh, they look real!!

The movie was about squirrels!!

He was so excited that he started to call the attention of the audience.

At the end, someone was waiting for the squirrel. It was a hunter, who went to find a gun.

I'm going to catch you, little squirrel!

What can I do?

He ran and ran, until he reached the zoo in Barcelona. There he felt very safe.

Here, they can take care of me!

But soon he felt very afraid again, he saw some lions at the zoo looking at him, and finally he left the place.

Oh no! I don't want to live here!

He escaped from the zoo and he found a calm place, a village named Breda, not very far away from the city.

What a great place to live! Now I feel free again!

WELCOME TO ...

But suddenly our squirrel got a letter from her friend - Otter which lives in Poland, Kielce. Otter invited our Squirrel to this Slavic country... Squirrel made a quick decision

I am going to Poland !

Wow! This is amazing!

Kadzielnia is a beautiful place, particularly  in winter. Waterfalls and vegetation  are great. Kadzielnia is also a great place for concerts and meetings. There you can enjoy the beautiful views and also can be good to meet your friends.

Hello! I'm a famous witch from Saintcross Mountains! Sit next to me, on my broomstick! I'll take you wherever you want!

After such a great and interesting journey the squirrel came back to his home town. He was tired but very happy and learnt a lot about other countries.

After a short break the squirrel decided to write a postcard to his new friends :-)

As Solanki is a huge park, you can walk, run, ride a bike or even barbecue there. There are beautiful views and paths. You can never get bored here and it is a place to see every season.
