Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth’s climate system observed since the pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities, primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas levels in Earth’s atmosphere. The term is frequently used interchangeably with the term climate change, though the latter refers to both human- and naturally produced warming and the effects it has on our planet. It is most commonly measured as the average increase in Earth’s global surface temperature.
Since the pre-industrial period, human activities are estimated to have increased Earth’s global average temperature by about 1 degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit), a number that is currently increasing by 0.2 degrees Celsius (0.36 degrees Fahrenheit) per decade. Most of the current warming trend is extremely likely (greater than 95 percent probability) the result of human activity since the 1950s and is proceeding at an unprecedented rate over decades to millennia.

How much of the effects of global warming have we witnessed or experienced so far?
Have we seen a dying see including all the organisms inside?
Lakes are getting smaller day by day.
Or crops dying because of drought?
Do you recall summers that never come or winter with no rain? It's not far isn't it?

What else should we see to act?
It's now or never!

What is GLOBAL WARMING?
Climate change describes a change in the average conditions — such as temperature and rainfall — in a region over a long period of time.
Global climate change refers to the average long-term change over the entire Earth.
Earth’s climate has constantly been changing — even long before humans were created. However, scientists have observed unusual changes recently. For example, Earth’s average temperature has been increasing much more quickly than they would expect over the past 150 years.
Many people, including scientists, are
concerned about this warming. As Earth’s
climate continues to warm, the intensity
and amount of rainfall during storms
such as hurricanes is expected to increase.
Droughts and heat waves are also expected
to become more intense as the climate
warms.

What causes Global Warming?
1. Natural Warming Cycle
2. Greenhouse Effect
3. Reliance On Artificial Sources
4. Deforestation
What are the Effects Of Global Warming?
1.Extreme Changes In Weather
2. Threats To Animals and Their Habitat
3. Ocean Acidification
4. Shrinking Of Ice Sheets And Declining Of Arctic Sea Ice
5. Rising Water Level

Can Global Warming Be Prevented?
To reduce the impact on climate change, we have to reduce global warming. This calls for producing less carbon dioxide emission and using energy more efficiently. Here are some preventive measures that we can take that to prevent and reduce global warming.
-Take public transport or walk when going to school, market and work.
-Replace the incandescent lamps with energy saving, LED or fluorescent lights. Put on the sweater instead of switching on the heater and open the windows instead of using the air conditioner.
-Turn off electrical equipment when not in use. It will end up saving some money too.
-Plant trees around your house and in schools. Trees will combat pollution by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. It won’t just freshen up the air, but will also regulate the climate.
-Recycling and reusing can also help reduce the greenhouse gasses. It will also save the natural resources like oil, aluminum and of course, trees.

GLOBAL WARMING - wake up humans, you are endangered too!
-------- But we can still act against future disasters! ---------

Climate change is here. As its impact intensifies over time, it is the children and young people of today who will face the worst effects.
Despite all of this, there is hope. It is our job to now use the knowledge that we have regarding the impacts of climate change for motivation. If we turn our concern into passion, we will have the motivation that will carry us through the fight for climate stability.

So how can Youths help stop climate change?
Youths can help stop climate change in their own simple yet purposeful ways. Such as: joining environmental organizations or groups; participating in various projects against climate change; joining clean- using social media like facebook, twitter or instagram in promoting climate change and environmental awareness to the public
