Perseus' story starts when his grandfather locks his mother away because he
hears a prophecy that says his grandson will kill him. Perseus' grandfather is
so terrified as if Perseus is a god so to prevent this his daughter from getting
pregnant he locks Perseus' mother away so she can not get pregnant but Zeus
impregnates his mother, thus leading to the birth of Perseus as a Demi-god
and is wise like a human and stronger and superior like an actual god.

Perseus' grandfather finds out that Perseus is the child of Zeus but since he
believes Perseus will kill him he wants Perseus to die but cant kill him his sel
f because Zeus will be angry. Due to what Zeus may do, Perseus' grandfather
sends Perseus off to sea and if the sea kills him it will not be because of his
grandfather so he can not be of blame for the death of Perseus and Zeus wont
be angry. After a long journey Perseus' ship lands on an island and meets a
fisherman with smooth skin like a babies bottom and golden locks like Clay
Matthews who takes him and his mother in as if they were kin.

Many years go by before the story picks up. A king by the name of
Polydectes wants to marry Perseus' mother. Polydectes had a huge banquet
d at that banquet Polydectes ordered his people to give a gift but Perseus
didn’t have a gift to give so Perseus is told by Polydectes he can be let off
the hook for the price of a gorgon named Medusa’s head. This was not an
easy task for Perseus since Medusa can make a man as stiff as a rock in a
blink of the human eye. Perseus knew it was a deadly task but he accepted
it anyway because he knew that he must be a man of his word like a
Greek god named Athena.

To be able to kill Medusa he was sent on a wild goose chase
to seek help from nymphs named Hesperides but must get
directions from Graea, sisters of the Gorgons, and he takes
their eye as if was ransom to get directions. When the reach
the Hesperides he receives a knapsack from the
Hesperides to contain Medusa head, Zeus gives him an
admantine sword, Hades gives him a helm of darkness to
hide, Hermes lends Perseus winged sandals to fly, while
Athena gives him a polish shield to use as his eyes.

Perseus approaches the Gorgons lair and to his luck all 3 of the Gorgons
are asleep. To be safe Perseus slowly approaches Medusa using his
polished shield as his eyes. When we carefully slices at Medusa's neck
Stheno and Euryale are awake by the scream of agony from Medusa. Due
to the helms of darkness Perseus is able to disappear into the darkness
like a ninja. When Perseus returns to Polydectes kingdom Polydectes is
astonished as if he has just seen a ghost. Perseus holds Medusa head
to Polydectes and in the center square of the Kindgom Polydectes is turnt
into a stone everyone is staring at Perseus as if he has just returned from
a war. This is the story of how Perseus became a hero.
