Story Writing Challenge

Heroes: 

Fatih (He is short and chubby. He has got dark hair and black eyes. He is shy but sincere. He plays the piano. He is a student at METU.) 

Omar (He is a college student, he is handsome and medium weight and studying in tourism. He likes travelling and learning new cultures. He wants to live an adventurous life.)

 Derin (She is medium height and a little weak. She has got red and curly hair. She has got hazel eyes. She is cute and shy. She only talks a lot to her buddies. She is a very successful student at the school. She loves hiking and doing sports in nature.)

Place: on an island

Target: to escape from the island

Story starter sentence: I (she-he) opened my eyes and I (she-he) didn’t know where I (she-he) was.

I opened my eyes and I didn’t know where I was. There were 3 people that I saw on the boat. They were probably friends I think, there was a girl who had red and curly hair and medium height, the other girl had short black hair and she was tall. And there was a boy who had short brown hair and he was looking fine. I think I should wake them up. At this moment, people who I saw woke up. While they were talking, I decided to go and talk with them. 

Fatih: Is there anyone who knows how did we come here?

After I said that, all of them looked each other. I understood that anybody know why we are here.

Omar: I think no one knows.

When I turned around, I noticed the boat standing on land, and then I told them, we went to the side of the boat together.

Jessica: I think we are alone here.

Fatih:But I don't know any of you

Omar: Let’s meet then.

I said my name and learned the names of all of them. I met Derin, Omar and Jessica.

Derin: We are from the same school by the way.

After learned their names, we had to think about what to do here now.

Jessica: So where will we stay?

Fatih: Let's build a shelter with what we gather from the forest.

Jessica: We are going to find something to light a fire with Derin.

Omar: Okay so I am going to find something to make a shelter with Fatih.

20 minutes later, Omar and I heard screaming sounds from the forest and we ran to the place where the noise came from.

Jessica: We were looking for something for fire, the natives of the island took Derin away.

In the evening, we decided to find Derin tomorrow and returned to the beach where we are going to stay.

Omar: There must be a way to find and save Derin.

Fatih: We don't know how big the island is, where we are going to look?

Jessica: Should the three of us break up and trying to find?

Fatih:Then we all get lost, we should stay together

We went to the side of the boat and tried to find something useful from there. What we could find was 2 knives that we are going to try to defend ourselves with. We went deep into the forest and started looking for Derin. After searching for a long time, we still couldn't find Derin. At this moment, Jessica suddenly screamed, and when we turned around we saw a snake bit Jessica's leg. Omar said that it is not poisonous but Jessica shouldn’t walk for a while. We left Jessica to the beach and started looking for Derin again. We found her after a few hours. While we were unraveling the ropes that they tied her hands, suddenly we came across someone we did not know, and then a few more people. We couldn't do anything in front of so many people, they finally tied us all up.

Fatih: Why are you keeping us here?

Chieftain: There are some people who want to take what belongs to us. How will we know that you are not one of them?

Fatih: Actually, we were going to go somewhere else, but our boat was caught in a storm, we fell here, we have an another friend with us, but she is not with us she is at the beach.

The chieftain and a few people headed to the beach to pick up Jessica. Finally they brought Jessica with us.

Jessica: What did you guys do? Why are we here and who are they? 

Fatih: Actually we don’t know either.

Chieftain: Tell me how you came to our island.

Fatih: We do not know exactly too, but our goal was not come here, we were going to go somewhere else for a trip, the last thing we remembered is a big storm, we found ourselves here when we woke up.

After convince the commoners and chieftain, we decided it is safer to stay here than staying on the beach. They gave us a place to sleep at night, we were staying there. We all slept because we were very tired. Everyone was already awake when we woke up in the morning. We joined them and they gave us something to eat. Our days passed with them, but we all knew we had to go home. We spent 2-3 days there. But we were all aware that everything was not normal. One day we decided not sleeping that night and we talk about how we could get out of here. The voices that we heard in the morning made us sure we had to go to home faster. When we left where we stay, we realized that there was nobody outside.

We decided to follow the footprints, we followed them by hiding somewhere without drawing too much attention, but suddenly we all turned around with the hand touched my shoulder. There was a person standing in front of us, he ask where we were going to and sent us back to where we came from, we were all aware that something happening there.

We wanted to go back there and find something tomorrow without being noticed. At night, when everyone was asleep, we were talking about what we are going to do tomorrow and what is going on here.

Omar: We know they're hiding something, will we stay here anyway?

Jessica: Of course we are not going to stay with them. We don’t know what they are doing.

Derin: Actually we can learn.

Fatih: We can search without noticing tomorrow, because if they know we've learned, they might not keep us here.

After this short conversation we decided to sleep.

The next morning we woke up early again, but we left Derin and Jessica in the shelter because if we go together there will be so many people and we could notice by them. I went with Omar. We understood that they were working on something even though we couldn't see it clearly. We can’t see because there were too many people around it. We went back to talk with others.

Derin: Did you find anything?

Omar: We couldn’t see clearly but I think they are trying to go away from here too.

Fatih: There is a mystery on this island. I wonder how we can go away from this island.

Derin: We have to get out of here as soon as possible, as long as we stay with them, we can’t escape from here.

Jessica: So we have to go to the beach and stay there, we're missing everything here.

After we decided to leave these people and stay on the beach, we returned to our first place. We saw a ship which passing by while we are talking about how we got here. When we noticed the ship, we tried to get ourselves noticed. We thought we could get out of here if we swim there. We all jumped into the water and swam towards them, we got on the ship with the rope that a few people had extended to us, we were looking at the island which we came from, and we saw that they were going away from the island with their spaceship. We were right in our guesses, they weren't normal, we were so happy we got off the island without anything happened. While we were talking about our exciting adventure, we were thinking how lucky we were. I didn't know what would have happened if we continued to stay with them. Eventually we could go home.
